We have SCISSORS and KNIVES!" And my Grandma would retort a) that the scissors were all the way over there and her teeth were right here, and b) that God gave us teeth before he gave us knives. She was so right about all this, and I'm on her side. Sometimes the biting power of teeth is what you need. That said she also used to use a paring knife as a toothpick which would also make my mom say "MooooOOOMM!! we have TOOTHPICKS!" and my grandmother would say that God gave us knives before he gave us toothpicks.
