Based on this image which made me think about them:

...Okay so I might have wanted to write a short warm up drabble thing just describing a vase of flowers in the Waylay (it was supposed to be like "the flowers gleamed under the light. they looked odd." but in more words) and I have instead spent about 2 hours looking up flower meanings and symbolism and almost want to redesign my the manager to have a red poppy somewhere on his outfit. and I have several ideas for flowers to have decorating the waylay. Like according to this one website Wisteria was often used in flower arrangements in the 1920s and it's toxic to humans, but butterflies eat it. So. So I wanted to ask about the flowers you use with Butterfly. I vaguely remember a calla Lily in something? (also white calla lilies will be in the waylay the next time I draw/ write something there. and maybe purple ones.) And I've also written nothing other than some flower notes. And I'm now very excited about flowers and want to shake the manager between my teeth.

I'm going for a walk and listening to 'come take a trip in my airship' by dpr while thinking about butterfly, kayne, and the manager and will hopefully get some of this internal EEEEEEEEEEEE to calm down so I can do something with it. Hopefully writing. Probably art.

Well, besides oleander I often use azaleas with him, since they were mentioned in the fic (and also match his pink ribbon lol)

I also associate him with any flowers with thorns, that can trap you. Though I don’t have any specific flowers in mind rn, except for roses but only bc I used them for my mini comic

Now that I think about it there’s actually an early sketch of butterfly with lily of the valley somewhere in a sketchbook. Hm. I wonder if I can find it.. I think it was the other option besides oleander due to it looking innocent but actual being highly poisonous
