Arthur stew is perfect for those few minutes after dismemberment when you’re looking at him wondering what to do next. You just had a plan. It was right there. Still is there.
All the way over where his corpse is.
Hasn’t had time for the flies to come over.
Warmth gently fading away as what animated it gets further away from you.
Arthur stew is something to delight the tongue. Get rid of any doubts. It worked with the other Arthurs. Why not him?
You’ll know nothing but delight.
Skin Arthur. Set aside skin to do something else with him. You cannot waste any part of him.
Separate Arthur further. Remove meat from bone. Set aside bones. You cannot regret that this makes him look less alive.
Once Arthur is undressed and deboned, cut into smaller pieces. He doesn’t look like himself. This is fine. Each piece should be no more than a couple inches long.
Make sure that his bones have enough meat on them. He never did. Why would there be enough now?
Set the bones on a tray. Heat them at 350˚ degrees for an hour. Turn him over midway. His bones don’t even look right anymore.
Put him in a pot. Cover with water, just barely. If a bone sticks out, that’s just his aversion to drowning. You can let him have that much.
He’s still on the tray. Scrape the bits of him off with your teeth. Can’t let your hands touch him. You’d ruin the flavor.
Let the rest of him simmer for a few hours.
While you wait, start searing pieces of him. They don’t look like him anymore. Why doesn’t he look like himself? He was so vivid and alive. He survived so much. Why does he look like every other Arthur-every other person inside? He was special.
Take his bones out. They’re yours now. Open your ribcage and stuff them alongside what is now a beating heart. If you don’t have a heart, Arthur’s will do perfectly.
Remove your own heart and put Arthur’s there instead. It fits much better and it was shouldn’t be laying on a floor alone like that. It’s wrong.
Some fat has floated to the top of the broth. That’s fine. Don’t strain it. He cannot be discarded.
Pour broth into crockpot.
Drop pieces of him into the broth.
Add some blood and loose tissue for flavor.
Worry about what blood is his and what blood isn’t. You can tell the difference.
Try one of the Orchestra and find out you can’t tell the difference. Why can’t you tell the difference? How are you supposed to separate all of your Arthur’s blood from the rest of them?
The stew is finished. Why did Arthur have to die?
Side dishes to make/what to do with the rest of him:
Pick meat off with your fingers- It still looks like him. Why didn’t you stick with that?
Just take pieces of his body and use them in place of your own
Swallow his eyes whole. Don’t chew
