T.F.C, a man who is loved
I just looked into the season 9 Hermitcraft map on Minecraft marketplace, I know I'm a little late but it hadn't been working before. Took forever to download and startup but worth it, I was looking around the spawning area, checking the stuff left there and reading the signs before going further to explore. The first thing I went to, as it just seemed out of place, was the little wooden box under the bridge, I didn't think much of it, checked the chest for anything interesting, laughed at the sign next to the door. Then I saw the diamond block and pickaxe, at first I though it might have been something left by one of the hermit as a gift for their friend. Then I read what the pickaxe above it said, 'in loving memory...'. Now I felt a little bad, I had heard of TFC passing of course, but I'd never watched him or really knew much about him, but I still felt a little sad, just at the loss. I checked the mine as one of the few things I knew about the guy is that he mined a lot, which I always thought was rather relatable as I really like mining in minecraft as well as farming. It wasn't too interesting, I took note on how he laid out his chests, thought it was really smart, fell down the ladder and died, normal things.
Then I got to the very bottom, now I'm not an emotionally expressive person, especially not for people I don't even know, but even typing this out, I'm nearly in tears. The memorials left by the other Hermits... I don't know how to describe how I felt in any other way than the visceral grief of the knowledge that this man is Loved. TFC is loved and cherished by his friends, seen and admired by those who watched him. And I was brought to physical tears at the simple sight of those digital blocks mined in honor of their beloved friend.
