Break On Me

Physically hurt-emotionally stable character with physically stable-emotionally hurt character forming a complicated mutual caretaking relationship

Whumpee mid panicked apology for being too much, too needy, too broken, too dependent getting pulled into a hug, Caretakers soft steady voice in their ear reminding them that they cared about them, that it was an honor, that they were worth the time and effort it took to make sure they weren’t hurting, that Caretaker would do it all again without a second thought.

Whumpee who has just accepted/realized that Caretaker was actually not going to hurt them and genuinely cared about their well being, and can’t wait any longer. They curl into Caretakers lap or lean against them on the sofa, so touch starved that they don’t even care. Caretaker stroking their hair back out of their eyes, unsure what changed but perfectly willing to go along with it.

Whumper leaving whumpee alone to “think about what they’ve done” before the actual punishment so every time Caretaker leaves them alone, they feel this overwhelming sense of guilt and dread, even if they know logically nothing is coming.
