If you want the egg from a bird, you say yes to this animal cruelty. Male babies are shredded alive or otherwise killed, females are caged and used for the “egg production”. Often, in the factory farming, they are so sick. If you free them, they can’t barely walk. The sick animals question: are they ‘producing’ healthy ‘products‘? How should that work? And on top, the industry is praising the advantages of eating these eggs. If one look closer, there are these dangers as well. Eggs are cholesterol bombs, they may shorten your life, there is a risk of salmonella and a spread of bacteria too. Protein, vitamins and minerals are found in a plant based diet as well, of course. So, what’s the reason to eat eggs anymore? For the bakers: you can replace the eggs with some bananas, flax seeds, Chia seeds, applesauce and other egg replacement powders. Don’t worry at all. There is no reason to be mean to animals. No reason to close the ears and to continue to participate in the so-called advantages of taste and ingredients. A plant based diet will do it better. Tradition is based on a repetition of mindsets.
