More Latinx than ever were eligible to vote in the 2018 midterm elections. More than a quarter (27%) of Hispanics who voted in 2018 said they were voting for the first time ever in a midterm election. For example, in Florida alone the number of registered Hispanic voters increased 8.4% from 2016, contributing to 20% of Florida’s total eligible voters. Not only were Hispanics exercising their right to vote, but many of them made history by running and winning both Senate and gubernatorial seats. MAJOR squad goals.
