basically for some context there's this girl in our class that we'll call A and me and my crush who we'll call B really hated her she's just annoying and she used to be rude too but not anymore now she's just plain annoying. anyway. over the last year tho, B started getting along with A more because they had a shared interest of anime so they really bonded over that i guess, and A had a crunchyroll account which she offered to let B borrow. so at first B was just kinda being a bare minimum friend (more like acquaintance) with A to keep the crunchyroll account and my friend group teased B about it since we all hated A, but eventually they grew to become more like actual friends. now recently i also started becoming friends with A because i also started getting into anime plus we both like tadc. since me and A are both oversharers we've been talking about some personal stuff already that you probably wouldn't normally share with someone you used to hate and only started talking to like 3 weeks ago. today we were chatting and she asked me "out of your friend group, is B like your BFF?" i responded "well idk honestly i consider all of them my bffs. why do you ask?" to this she replied "it's just that you guys share more moments" so now im thinking omg is my crush that clockable? okay? but whatever. so as per usual i tell her stuff that took me five years to tell other people and i say "maybe it's because i might have a crush on her" i also told her that im pretty sure the crush will pass bc i know B is straight so i gotta just move on and that it's just a silly crush

this is where it gets interesting. A for some reason EXPLODES and she's like OMG REALLY? FR?? OHHH MY GODDD I KNOW STUFF FROM BOTH SIDES RN IM IN THE MIDDLE so naturally i ask wtf she's talking about but i can already sorta guess so i start getting kinda nervous. she says that she can't say anything because she promised B she wouldn't say anything. then she asks "but did you ask her directly if she was straight or did you just assume?" technically i haven't asked her ARE YOU STRAIGHT but she had told me in the past that she was straight. i tell A this and she's just like hmmm interesting. so out of nowhere she drops:

"you might have a chance with her"

??????????????? so now im definitely freaking out. im like are you fr?? is this a joke?????? and she says "noo ofc not why would i joke about that?" she continues by saying that again she can't say too much because she promised B but that she'd tell me this one thing: that i shouldn't assume and to ask directly before labeling anyone as straight. that's obviously a not so subtle subtle hint that she's NOt straight....
