having fun doing some programming. I'm implementing an account/login system for livestream. Partially for moderation, but mostly for secret features that I won't spoil until they're developed :3

if you do stream clips, may i request a few from when you were going through fl studio? i believe you posted about saying youd do a tutorial of sorts (or maybe just messing around, i really cant remember) on it on live, but i couldnt tune in ! would love to see it though, i mess around on it time to time but im not very familiar eith the ui

i remember saying I was gonna do fl studio, but I don't think I've done that on stream yet, at least not since I've started saving archives. I do plan on streaming some music production on Monday tho, so I'll save the archive of that and make some clips ^^ I love fl studio and I love teaching, so I'm excited for the opportunity to show people how to operate it.

im always willing to make IRL friends! I can't promise I'd be compatible with everyone but I'm always willing to try. I'm very much an IRL person tho so I can't really maintain relationships online very well. I'm also very socially anxious and don't talk to my friends as much as I should

thank you! It makes me happy to learn that the work I put into this community actually helps people. We all set our sights on changing the world, but changing just someone's world is just as important.

ive been trying to come up with incentives to receive donations, but it comes to mind that maybe it’d be best to ask y’all. What could i offer (for stream or for anything else) that you think people would be willing to donate to get? Such as choosing stream activities or something.

"prison abolition" is a hilarious position, because proponents respond to obvious, vital questions like "how will you manage serial murderers and rapists?" with "d-don't worry about it, things will be different, and because they'll be different, they'll be BETTER!"

but there's a better hypothetical: ask what they would want to happen if they were a victim of a hate crime. should the perpetrator be merely rehabilitated? locked away for an arbitrary amount of time? executed on the spot?

obviously, when people are unwilling or unable to consider even first-order consequences of a policy, expecting them to comprehend a hypothetical is a tall order. but it at least makes them look even dumber ;)

Prison abolition is a long term goal. It's not a single law being proposed that would free all prisoners once it's signed.

Why are you more critical of a hypothetical long term solution than you are of what's currently happening?

"Create a financial incentive to imprison as many people as possible in order to use them as a source of slave labor for corporate profit" is a much more hilarious position. "Create a class of people who can legally decide on the spot who lives and who dies, and who you're not allowed to defend yourself against" is a much more hilarious position. And those are currently happening and being widely supported.

now that its June, I want to officially say that I will be attending the Seattle pridefest again this year! I intend on going on Saturday the 27th (at cal an) and Sunday the 28th (at Seattle center). Not sure what time of day I'll attend but I'll probably figure that out and announce the week before or so.

This isn't like a huge deal but its a time of the year when lots of queer people congregate to Seattle, so I thought it could be nice to meet up with some folks there ^^ if u plan on going then lmk! (Obviously u don't have to but it'd be nice to know if anyone I know will be going)

i also think fighting for our acceptance publicly will help us fight against the hatred easier . such as pushing out to other apps more publicly or wearing radqueer pins .

beginning the process of going through these survey results. after throwing out troll and duplicate responses, there is (approximately) a total of 743 responses! wow! that's a lot... gonna take a while to go through lol. if anyone has recommendations of like programs that can help me analyze the survey data (it's stored in a .ods file) that would be greatly appreciated 🙏
