- Katie was in the Hermes cabin for one night before she was claimed, and she was claimed while accidentally nearly strangling travis with vines .
- From that day forward Travis vowed to forever continue to annoy this girl who made him laugh by how easily irritated she got (Connor was just along for the ride)
13 years old
- The stolls’ pranks continued, and katie’s anger would continue to grow with every stupid prank.
- I mean the week lasting half green half pink hair had her tempted to shave her hair off, but she ended up opting to damage her vocal chords instead.
- For some reason Travis was the one who dealt with the most yelling and hitting ( which connor was pretty offended by, he worked just as hard for the pranks thankyou very much )
- Silena and Drew helped her get her hair back to normal, all while blabbing about why guys pull pigtails or some shit like that
- Meanwhile Connor was getting pissed at how much they were focused on pranking cabin 4 ( well one demeter child specifically, but hey maybe travis just isn’t a fan of lilac ) Connor just wanted to see some glow in the dark Apollo kids right now, not katie gardner going redder than her hair.
- Now when the stolls pranks come to a halt ( well a public halt atleast ) They do their best to try lift up the atmosphere Tantalus loves to put a damper on, and honestly it’s kind of working.
- And when Travis Stoll finds Katie gardner splotchy faced in the woods, and Stymphalian Bird marks littering her body. He doesn’t laugh at her, or call her names, or pull some stupid prank. They just sit in silence, leaning in to one another. Providing enough silent comfort to stop her face from being completely overrun by tears.
- Because yeah they hate each-other but hey tantytrum is the bigger enemy at the moment, so tolerating eachother a bit more is obviously the most mature thing to do ( cause their 13 now duh 🙄)
14 years old
- The summer starts with Katie returning to camp after spending the year with an emotionally abusive stepmother and step-siblings, along with a rich dad who loves her but not enough to ever leave those monstrous twats ( seriously she’d rather get eaten by a hell-hound then be around them more than she has to )
- So when she gets to camp and one of the first things she sees is the brunette idiot with piercing blue eyes, and a mischievous smile with a glint to his eyes. She cant help the feeling of comfort and fondness she feels watching that dipshit get thrown into the lake by his much more bearable brother.
- Tbh she never understood why everyone said they looked like twins, She could tell them apart easily. Connor was a lot more baby faced with a chaotic neutral type of vibe, and had a lot more freckles. Meanwhile Travis had a defined jawline, looser curls, and only a few freckles on this cheeks. Katie just came to the conclusion people could tell them apart it was just more convenient talking about them as a pair.
- Percy Jackson ran away to go save Annabeth (everyone’s praying those idiots end up okay, they’re the little baby superhero’s of the camp, and yes katie might only be a year older than them, but trust me they’re one of the reasons she’s gonna start going grey early)
- Speaking of percabeth, after seeing how hard they were blushing during that dance Percy will never be able to deny his feelings for annabeth, and neither can she ( what? teasing them is silena and katie’s favourite hobby )
- Katie and Travis still aren’t each others biggest fans, and every summer just feels the same. The teasing, the arguing, the fights. Yet someone he manages to be one of the people she spends the most time with and for the life of her can’t understand why. But she supposes consistency is a good thing so no need to make a big deal out of it.
- Travis Stoll is just sticking to his life mission of turning katie gardner redder than her hair. Katie gardner is sticking to her life mission of making sure that man is humbled in every possible way.
please it would be so funny if in the show it constantly cuts back and forth between whatever dangerous adventure percy and co are up to and camp.
imagine percy is falling from the gateway arch and it just cuts to pollux and katie discussing the recent crop of strawberries with the stolls accidentally destroying something in the background.

me, explaining that while i do like the crow casting in shadow and bone, it's not perfect for a lot of reasons (light washing jesper, etc) and that the reason i'll never truly be able to love it is because i know that a lot of the charm of six of crows will be lost on show-watchers because they won't feel the sheer horror, social commentary, and madness associated with a bunch of sixteen and seventeen year olds who are forced to run gangs, raised to fight wars, work in brothels and fight adults who are trying to kill them try to do insane things just for money and find family on the way. regardless of how great the actors are at acting like the crows, they are just too old to make you feel that, like alys van eck hearing their voices and innocently asking "where are your parents" and the utter shock of realizing that at the age of sixteen and seventeen you're supposed to be disobeying your parents, not raiding governments and building bombs. it's what happened with katniss and the hunger games, it hits hard but not as hard as it could have. the crows in shadow and bone are going to be the fun side characters who commit crime and dress up and are cute but that's not ever what i thought or wanted from them, i never wanted their story to be trivialized into goat comedy, i wanted people to see it and actually be forced to think about how terribly sad their motivations are. so while shadow and bone is like objectively fun to watch, the characters aged up ten years are not the same and the message is not the same, and it's enjoyable and made for a different audience and i really truly understand that but sometimes it makes me very sad

I want it to be set in the summer and they’re all there as counselors or something and they’re all playing games and hanging out by the fire and telling old stories reminiscing on old memories.
