thinking of the probability that the Duarte sisters feel envious toward madoc because he knew Eva more than they were ever able to and how Madoc may feel envious that the girls knew a part of Eva he never got to see. cries

Do you have any theory why Taryn chose to go to Jude instead of Madoc for protection before the trial? My theory was that she didn't want to align herself with a traitor and lose a place in the court and her life in Elfhame but for it to be true she has to be absolutely sure that her plan with Jude will work - and she doesn't have any reason to believe that Jude wouldn't be properly interrogated. It just doesn't make sense at all. Madoc would be her best option.
Sincerely, I don't think that Taryn thinks things through all the way. She gets an idea in her head about something she wants and that's the extent of the thought. I'm not saying she's stupid...per se, but she is very unwise. She was unwise to marry Locke after finding out what he'd been up to. She was unwise not to turn to her military minded father instead of her sister, who was banished.
There could be (and probably are) multiple reasons she went to Jude instead of Madoc. First, I don't think she believed Madoc cared for her. I think all of Madoc's kids had a fundamental misunderstanding of him on some level, and it's that they didn't believe he loved them (well...Oak may have understood. And Vivi...I think the sincerity of Madoc's love for them all would probably have just pissed her off more). In Jude and Taryn, that misunderstanding manifested in believing there was a ticking clock for them to find their place in Elfhame before they became full grown adults and Madoc kicked them out. I don't believe that they were ever in any danger of that, but they believed it so hard that Jude didn't give a second thought to conscripting herself into Dain's service behind Madoc's back (which should have been a red flag, tbh), and Taryn blackmailed Locke into marriage because she thought he was her only ticket to a life in Elfhame at the level to which she'd become accustomed. Now, mind you, I'm pretty sure Madoc warned her strongly against marrying Locke, but Taryn may have thought that that would be the extent of his trying to protect her (never mind that even Cardan and his gang knew better than to try the General by taking things too far with his daughters. Valerian was going to die either by Jude's hand or Madoc's. I have no doubt).
Another reason could have been that Taryn didn't want to drag Madoc into the mess. She didn't know what he was scheming at that time, and she probably didn't realize that by helping him in the end of TWK, she'd made it so that Madoc was no longer bound in service to the Crown, and maybe she thought he couldn't help her if he wanted to. A wiser person probably still would have tried, but as we've already covered, Wisdom was chasing Taryn, but the girl was just too fast.
I think the biggest reason she went to Jude instead of Madoc is simply that going to Jude was her first (and likely only) thought. Turning to Jude was a panicked, stupid selfish move, and also something she had been doing for years. Jude had been her main protector probably since before Elfhame. Once again, I'm not saying that Taryn is just stupid in general, but she was panicking, and panic can make people really, really stupid. She wasn't thinking about all her options. She was thinking about the easiest one. Going to Jude was her natural response to feeling threatened. Trading places with Jude was easy. They'd done it before, and almost no one could tell her and Jude apart. Certainly no one at Court (conveniently not realizing that Cardan had been demonstrably able to tell them apart easily for years). She wasn't thinking about the kinds of questions that could be asked while she was glamoured, and if she had stopped to think for even a few minutes, she would have realized what a horrible idea it was, and gone to Madoc instead.

I think Dain helped Eva and Justin escape. And Oraina knew and thats why she married Madoc. Because why would you go marry the strongest ally of Dain to keep a secret from him?
