yes, sheβs hilarious, arguably one of the funniest characters in the game. but please never ever forget that queen deltarune is so very kind. when noelle stands up to her, instead of pushing things further, she backs down, acknowledges that her assumptions were incorrect, and tells her to instead choose the world that would make her happy. on the weird route, she doesnβt even go through with making her be her peon anymore, worried enough about her health to just make her rest instead. berdly annoys her, yes, but she still concernedly warns him that removing her plug will injure him if he tries to do it himself, still searches for him everywhere on the weird route. if you recruited nobody from cyber city, she seemingly tries to hide it, but sheβs very obviously sad that none of her citizens are there to enjoy castle town with her. even some of her goofier bits, like her concern over the lightners being potassium deficient or their browser-search themed rooms, imply a degree of care for them on her part.
queen calls off her plan as soon as ralsei explains the roaring to her, and thatβs because her motivation was never something that stemmed from cruelty. she was misguided in her approach, yes, but it was nonetheless a plan born out of a desire for nobody to ever have to suffer again after witnessing that suffering firsthand.
I love that Noelle canonically played the βEvil Routeβ of Dragon Blazers even though it scared her and she felt bad about it. I love that Susie played the Evil Route by accident because she didnβt consider that it was an option not to kill everything. I love that Kris purposely sacrificed copyright-neutral Yoshis when playing video games with Asriel as a kid. I love that Ramb thinks Kris would find Tennaβs version of the Chapter 3 boards to be boring and would prefer the original version where you can use violence to get stronger. I love that Rambβs assumption is implied to be correct. I love that Kris only flinches away from the screen in the Sword Route when they have to kill the sprites representing their friends. I love that you can control lilβ kris to hop out of the game and actually threaten real Kris and Susie with the sword, and that this freaks Kris the fuck out. I love that Asriel tried to pray for Kris over their Yoshi killing sins and that Father Alvin found it naive and ridiculous. To believe that your actions in a video game would say anything about your actual character. I love that Kris and Noelle and Susie and Catti and probably Berdly too would all play the Weird Route if they had access to Deltarune. I wish the fandom took all of this into more consideration when analyzing the meta-narrative that Deltarune is trying to tell instead of resorting to 2015 era βyouβre horrible for playing the Weird Routeβ rhetoric

This is HUGE.
1. The court holds Google responsible for statements made by its AI, considering them Google's statements (search engines have limited liability for results in their engine as they're the words of other sites/companies/people), meaning when their AI lies/hallucinates they're liable for the defamation/harm resulting from those statements.
2. Google's defense that customers are generally aware of the lack of reliability and are responsible for fact checking was dismissed. As the court pointed out, that would "significantly diminish" AI Search's stated purpose and it can't be distinguished from Google's business practices/statements as a search tool.
3. Studies have found about 91% of Google's everyday AI responses are accurate, leaving millions of searches per HOUR with potential liability for falsehoods. 56% of correct responses weren't supported by the sources the AI listed. Both of which mean Google is now liable for a LOT more AI "errors."
4. Google was held liable for 80% of court costs in this case and this precedent is expected to reverberate around the world. This is a massive shift from the 3rd-party search provider role Google has previously played and it comes right as they've tied ALL searches to their AI search.
TL;DR Google reeeeeally stepped in it this time.
This is literally what people are talking about when they say AI will be used to mainstream widely held bigotry. LLMs are trained on frequency and probability -> straight relationships are more well represented in the dataset -> straight pronouns and terms become the "correct" normal.
This is a form of backdoor bigotry from both normative facts (there are more straight than gay relationships) and well represented bigoted beliefs (men are superior to women).
Combine this with the mass of people inclined to believe (and being encouraged to believe) that if AI says and does something it must be correct

I'm serious when I say we gotta give Temmie Chang half the credit for Making Undertale (and Deltarune)
She's got an animation degree, I know the art in Undertale gets underappreciated sometimes because it's trying to evoke an older simpler style, but the art in Undertale is legit amazing and without Temmie, none of Toby's ideas would have been able to be realized (without finding some other artist and animator)
She deserves more flowers for being the one who made the vast majority of the art assets for an entire game that is one of the most commonly cited games as an influence on others (her style is so beloved and recognizeable, there's a fully complete Undertale fangame emulating it)
