Hello everyone!! I have recently been contacted by Hilda (@hildanasr). She sent me a DM three months ago asking me if I could share one of her posts, but I only noticed it yesterday due to the large influx of messages that Iāve been receiving lately. I replied to her and promptly shared her posts. She then asked me if I could write a post for her on my blog, which I was more than happy to do! Hilda Nasr is a Palestinian woman who used to work as a chemistry teacher. She is pregnant (!!!) and urgently needs help supporting both herself and her family, who are all facing the ongoing genocide on Palestine. She also has a husband who sheās happily married with by the name of Mohammed Ayya, who worked as an engineer.
Hilda writes:
āI am starving. My pregnancy is at risk. And so is my family. We are living with no enough food, no safety, and no medicine. My weak body is trying to protect the little life growing inside me, but hunger is stronger than I can bear. My spouse is suffering too, and my whole family is fighting to surviveāday by day. As Israel has blocked aid from coming into Palestine, there is little to no food, no clean water, and basic necessities have been at unfairly high prices.
On September 30th, Hilda and Mohammed got married. Just a week before Oct 7. She was determined to start a new life with him in their home, but their dreams were shattered as the Israeli occupation seized the area. It was that day, she had no choice but to leave everything she held close to her heart behind.
After they fled their home in search of safety, Hilda and her family now live in a tiny tent together that is too uncomfortable and cramped as she lives with about nine people. They have also been afflicted by snakes and insects!
This innocent family has had to endure an unbearable amount of pain and suffering. They seek safety and stability, comfort and food at most. This should never be too much to ask for. Hilda and her family have literally been starving due to lack of food, and struggling to afford the help that they desperately need while facing the ongoing genocide on Palestine.
Please reblog, share, and amplify their voice. Even if all you can do is reblog and share at the moment, it helps. It really does. Hilda is truly such an incredibly strong and kind woman, and her beautiful family deserves all the support that they can get.

Before war started, Hilda and her husband, Mohammed Ayyad had gotten married on September 30th. Hilda was an chemistry teacher, while her husband was an engineer. Both of them dreamt of sharing a wonderful life together, but in a blink of an eye the war started and they lost everything that they built.
Along with them, the rest of their families are forced to seek shelter in a small tent. Their current situation is extremely difficult, having no food or proper shelter and being constantly on edge due to the looming dangers in their vicinity.
The rest of their family includes: Hilda's parents, her brother Ahmed (21), her sister Linda (26), her husband, along with their children Reema (3) and Saleh (1.5) and Hilda's youngest sister, Talin (14).
Not too mention, Hilda herself is also pregnant (as mentioned in the screenshot above).
Their goal is to leave for Egypt, but for that to happen, they first must reach their target goal, which is ā¬50,000. Currently, Hilda's fundraiser was only able to reach ā¬8,836, with the last donation being 9 hours ago.
Their donations has decreased, which is why I'm asking anyone that can, to please share and donate to Hilda and her family's campaign.

One of my friends in high school was called Bailey (not her real name). She didn't have the easiest time, and she used to get in trouble a fair bit, and I really liked her and valued our friendship and wanted things to get better for her. Story + giveaway šš¼ (TL;DR)
We stayed friends on Facebook after we graduated high school, and I was so happy for her when she announced she was going to have a baby. She loved her baby so much and wanted to make sure he was healthy, happy, and safe. We didn't talk much, but I still cared about her just as much as ever - I bought her a mother/newborn skin care set, which came with a cuddly plush cow.
Bailey unfortunately continued to experience more than her fair share of trouble after little Leo was born (despite her best efforts), and I'm not active on Facebook any more, and I'm quite sure Leo must be a small child and well and truly not a baby any more by now. So unfortunately, I never got to give Bailey her present.
Now, many years later, I am friends with @hildanasr. Oh, how I wish Hilda had the luxury of being in a position where she could choose a skin care set instead of needing that money to survive. Literally.
Bailey made the decision to eat healthy to support her baby -
Hilda has to eat whatever she can get her hands on, and is still trying to support the development of her own baby at the same time.
Bailey made plans to live somewhere safer and better for her - but she always slept in a warm bed.
Hilda has suffered through a freezing, wet winter in a flimsy tent.
Bailey could turn on a tap and get a drink of water in the middle of the night if she needed to. I don't know what this is like for Hilda, but I have to assume it's long, complicated and dangerous.
Both women faced challenges.
Bailey's challenge was complicated and real, for a person who has their basic needs met. I don't know how her story ended.
Hilda's challenge is also complicated and real. She does not have her basic needs met. She needs our support to make it through this.
We have a chance to help
A person can care for a baby with the absolute minimum of essentials - breast milk, cloth nappies, a baby blanket - but they need food in order to produce milk, clean water in order to wash nappies, and money to purchase a baby blanket. If a child has nothing, at least let them have a small, soft blanket!
I've been trying to help Hilda eat properly for at least 8 months or more. It hasn't been enough. Giving birth should be something that a person can achieve for free at home if they are healthy enough to do so, but Hilda is not. She's been anaemic for months and can no longer have this baby safely at home.
She needs to go to hospital - where it is likely the hospital will be crammed with people, under-supplied, and under credible threat of danger from Israeli forces. Hospitals are running out of blood and "in the remaining hospitals across Gaza, there are not enough painkillers, anesthetics, antibiotics... or surgical instruments". (source). Hilda is among the one in four pregnant women in Gaza suffering from malnutrition. I am really, really worried about her baby.
Hilda has trusted me with her bank details, and I have successfully been able to send a little money directly to her Bank of Palestine account.
