It's fun when you are making a character, and you have a pretty clear idea what you want them to be like (how they look, what their personality is like etc.) But then, you sit down and actually draw/write/make them come alive in some other medium, and suddenly... They're there. And they might be almost nothing like you first imagined them! Like, why are you the biggest sweetheart ever.
