Ryosaku wedding Σ>â(ă°Ď°ă)âĄâ
One head canon that Iâm unreasonably passionate about is Zuko MUST have help Katara with the domestic work like cooking and cleaning. You canât tell me he didnât, I will not listen to you.
but youâre right. Katara told me herself how much she appreciated Zuko helping out with the chores, and she didnât even have to force or bribe him!
I definitely think this is supported by canon!
Since Iâm on a 10 hour road trip and have nothing better to do, I went through screencaps of the episodes of book 3 and I noticed that the number of scenes where Katara does housework drastically decreases after Zuko joins the gaang.
In The Painted Lady, Katara is shown getting dinner for everyone while Sokka goes over his (extremely long lmao) schedule.
In The Runaway, when Sokka, Aang, and Toph come back from their money-making scheme, they return to Katara cooking. And leave all of the groceries/supplies they bought with her, so itâs natural to assume sheâll be the one dealing with them. Then, in a later scene, Katara is sitting next to the cooking pot and feeding Appa, while Aang eats in the background.
In Day of the Black Sun, while Sokka goes over the invasion plan, Katara gets him a drink. (Not exactly a chore, but it does show how she is responsible for taking care of everyone elseâs well-being).
In The Western Air Temple, Katara is shown getting meals ready for Aang, Sokka, Toph, Haru, Teo, and the Duke.
In the beginning of The Firebending Masters, the night that Zuko joins, Zuko watches the group in front of the campfire, where Katara is serving everyoneâs dinner.
And thatâs it. We donât see Katara doing anymore chores in the background after Zuko officially joins the group, except for when she makes watermelon juice for the group in Sozinâs Comet (although that seems like less of a necessary chore and more of just a special treat she made for fun).
I only went through the episodes in the final season, but there are many more scenes of Katara doing household work in the background in the other two seasons, usually all on her own. The only chore I observed the others doing this season, besides Sokka keeping everyone on schedule, was shopping - in just one episode.
Even though Zuko hasnât been with the gaang for long, heâs the only other person we see serving the group.
Especially taking into account his behavior around Katara, it makes sense that he would be helping her out with the chores.
In The Southern Raiders, heâs carrying their bag for her, and later, heâs the one doing the packing. He tells Katara she should get some rest - literally the only time anyone in the gaang ever asks Katara to look after her own needs - and itâs shown later that they switched places and Katara looks more well-rested.
Given that part of Zukoâs arc involves working in customer service, Iâm sure heâs very familiar with doing chores without being told.
Purely speculation on my part, but in this scene from Sozinâs Comet, the group already has their food and are eating while Katara was off in the attic. My theory? Zuko served dinner. Since she was looking for pots, Katara probably still does at least some of the cooking, but it seems plausible that Zuko might help out with prep, serving, and/or cleaning.
Unlike the first half of book 3, where Katara is often doing chores in the background, after Zuko joins, she has much more free time and seems more relaxed. She watches Aang and Zuko train (with Toph and on her own) and goes surfing at the beach.
And this just fits in with Zukoâs personality. You canât convince me that Zuko - the boy who is so set on making a good impression on the gaang, especially Katara - wouldnât help out whenever he could. It probably drives Katara nuts at first because she feels like heâs trying to take over âher territory,â but slowly she comes to appreciate his presence when she realizes that he just genuinely wants to make things easier for her.
Book 3 Alternatives: Momtara and Dadko
Toph tries to get under katara and Zukoâs skin for being so uptight and âbossyâ she starts sarcastically calling them âMomâ and âDad.â
This works to get them flustered and irritated. The rest of the gang starts in on it, too, when they donât want to do chores. But, it backfires gloriously because while Zuko bad Katara are both easily annoyed, they also grew up with annoying (and dangerous) siblings.
The both of them realize this, which leads Zuko to offhandedly call Katara âwifeyâ as a sarcastic response to Toph but, Katara assumes this was intentional as revenge. Hence, she leans into it and starts calling Zuko Hubby.
More under the cut!
I can see them sharing little jokes.
âWell, all the kids are asleep finally.â
âGo discipline your son.â
âShe gets that from your side of the family.â
And maybe they start doing sweet little things for each other. Katara makes sure to get his favorite food at the market. Zuko leaves her a bowl of fruit outside her tent every morning.
THEN thereâs the subtle touches. The small of her back as he walks by. She runs her fingers along his shoulders whenever she gets up after a meal. Their hands brush a little too often but they never really pull awayâŚ
Toph: Can me and Aang go the market and get some treats?
Zuko: Did you ask Katara?
Toph: Yes.
Zuko: And she said?
Toph: *grumpy* No.
Zuko: Then why did you think my answer would be any different?
Toph: Because sheâs not the boss of you.
Zuko: I think you and I both know Katara is the boss of everyone. She knows whatâs best for you. Nice try, though.
Toph: You guys are so unfair!
Zuko: Come help with the dishes, Aang.
Aang: But I was gonna go swimming with TophâŚ
Zuko: *dad look*
Aang: *pouts and crossed his arms*
Zuko: Donât make me go get your mother.
Zuko: *Realizes* Wait- swimming?!?! Toph canât swi-
Katara: *Loudly opens door carrying a soaked grumbling Toph thrown over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes*
Aang: I-
Katara: *Mom scowl* You and I will talk about this later.
Aang: But-
Katara: Room! Now!
Go with me on this....
Accidental Date Night
It starts out with Katara and Zuko deciding they need a break one night, so they strong arm Sokka and Suki into camp parent duties for the night.
Sokka: Wait! But where are you going?
Katara: Mom and Dad are taking the night off.
Zuko: Yeah. You're all old enough to handle yourselves for one night
Toph: Well, what are you two going to do?
Katara: Not be here for a few hours.
Zuko: There's a tea shop I've been meaning to try out. You want to go with me?
Katara: That cute little spot by the theater? Sure!
Toph: Gross. Parents shouldn't go on dates
Aang: (suddenly overcome by a deep sense of foreboding) Hold on now. Who said anything about a date?
Suki: Go enjoy yourselves. Sokka and I have everything covered.
Sokka: We do?
Suki: We do.
Sokka: We do...
Yes to all of this! Except one thing.
âAang: (suddenly overcome by a deep send of forbidding) Hold on now. Who said anything about a date?â
Instead
Aang: *panicked* Iâll come too! In fact me and Katara can have fun alone righ-
Zuko, somehow oblivious of Aang's feelings for Katara: Aang I don't think Katara wants to be around anyone for a few hours.
Aang: But you're going!
Katara: That doesn't count.
Aang, very much pouting: Why not?
Katara and Zuko panicking over how to say that their children are getting on their nerves: Uhhhhhh...
Toph, who does not give an eff: Because she's not tired of Zuko yet!
Aang: Oh! Right, cause he's the newest one to join the team!
Katara side eyeing with Zuko: Yep! That's it. Uh-huh. Totatally.
Toph: Try one more and I might believe you.
Zuko: I thought you might like to try this. * feeds ocean kumquats with chopsticks*
Katara: This is amazing! I love the spices!
Zuko: Iâm glad. Itâs one of my favorites.
Katara: we have something similar called sea prunes. But people outside the water tribes donât like them.
Zuko: *Blushes* Well, Iâd love to try them.
Katara: đł
Meanwhile...
Sokka: I said time for bed!
Toph: No! You canât make me!
Sokka: Iâm the adult here!
Toph: You sound like Katara!
Sokka: Iâm supposed to! Now, put that fountain back together now!
Suki: Well Aangâs asle-
Sokka: ...
Toph: ...
Suki: Toph. Bed.
Toph: Yes Maâam!
Sokka: Why do they listen to you?
Suki: They respect me.
Sokka: Fair enough.
Of course the Not a Date Nights become regular. Zuko takes Katara dancing- as friends, of course! And Katara suggests things like an art exhibit, or a classical music concert, cultural sorts of outings that she knows Zuko would be interested in and that the others would want to avoid like the plague.
They're not dates, though. Let's get that clear.
If they spend a bit more time than normal getting ready, well...sometimes you just want to look good to feel good, amirite? It's totally not them trying to impress each other...
Yes, of course. Definitely not a date. So what if Zuko sometimes brings her fire Lillies before their outings? Who cares if he might casually put his arm around her during a play? itâs all friendly, right?
And he might think itâs cute when she falls asleep on his shoulder during a particularly long night? But itâs only polite he covers them both with his cloak for warmth.
And maybe Zuko did tell people Katara was his wife when asked who he was taking to the theatre. But that's just part of the game...
Ticketer: And who is this ticket for?
Zuko: My beautiful wife.
They're not dating, but they won't even entertain the attention of other admirers. They're not dating, but if someone gets too persistent, they will reach for each other and call each other by pet names. No one can understand why they won't just say they're dating, but they are not dating! Nuh-uh. Nope. That's not what this is...
Theyâre not dating. Thatâs ridiculous...
Zuko: Iâm gonna check to see if thereâs fresh fish. Sound good?
Katara, gives Zuko a quick peck on his cheek: Sounds great!
Sokka: ooooh someoneâs in looooovvvvee đ
Katara: Thatâs ridiculous! Weâre completely platonic-
Sokka: Is that a girl touching Zukoâs arm-
Katara: Where?!?! Iâll fucking kill her! đ¤Ź
Elsewhere
Suki: So? Whenâs the wedding?
Zuko, groaning: For the last time, weâre just friends!
Suki: Whoâs that guy kissing Kataraâs hand-
Zuko: HE BETTER HAVE ASKED FOR HER PERMISSION!
Some girl is obnoxiously flirting with Zuko and Katara is absolutely seething. He puts an arm around her waist and rubs his thumb on her hip to calm her down.
Likewise if someone is flirting with Katara, Zuko gets all pouty. She thinks itâs adorable, but she always tucks her arm in his and politely tells the other guy to scram.
*Rubs his thumb on her hip* I died â¤ď¸
The irony is that when Kataraâs jealous, she acts as Zuko did in âthe beachâ with threatening and violent outbursts towards the person who dares flirt with her boyfri- I mean friend, totally just a friend. She acts like this because she knows how flustered Zuko gets around any form of positive attention and sometimes has difficulty understanding that heâs being hit. Therefore, he only gets uncomfortable when they actively cross a line.
But Zuko is calm and collective whenever he gets jealous and pouts because heâs so insecure and thinks she can do 100% better than him. He only gets defensive and outwardly angry if the flirter is making unwanted advances towards Katara because he trusts her.
Book 3 Alternatives: TSR
âOh everyone trusts you now? I was the first person to trust you, remember? Back in Ba Sing Se. And you turned around and betrayed me. Betrayed all of us!â
âI was afraid!â
âAfraid of what?!â
âI feel warm with you!â
Katara stilled. âWhat-â
âI feel warm with you, and people who make me feel warm always get hurt.â Zuko explained.
âI...â Katara faltered. âI donât understand...â
Zuko sighed. âMy mother, uncle- everyone whoâs ever shown me love is gone. Every time I feel warm with someone, something happens to them. And when we were in the cave... I felt warm with you too...â
Katara carefully sat herself on the grass as she processed his words âWarm...â
Zuko followed suit and slumped against the nearest rock. Exhaustion evident in his eyes. âAll my life, Iâve been surrounded by people who are cold. Coming back home was the same. My father was cold, my sister, my girlfriend- everyone was cold. Cold is safe... Cold protects people who matter.â
Katara pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration. âYou canât-â Katara snarled. âYou canât just say things like that. Itâs not fair. I get to be mad at you!â
âYou do! You absolutely do.â Zuko agreed. âYouâre right to be mad. Iâm angry at myself too.â
âWhat do you want?â Katara whispered.
âYou were right when you told me I struggled to do the right thing in the past. I have. But now I know this is where Iâm supposed to be. Because when I saw you at my doorway, the warmth came back, and this time I wasnât afraid.â

When Zuko apologized to uncle Iroh in the tent cause he was so ashamed of his actions and what heâd done to the only person who unconditionally believed in his ability to do good >>>>>
So okay, Iâve given this rant before but this is another good time for it.
Structurally speaking, ATLA did something important with Zuko that, in a purely mechanistic sense of narrative development, I think a lot of people donât notice immediately, and that even fewer people who want to emulate what was done with him get.
Which is Zuko is made a protagonist VERY early, and the show goes out of its way to continually place Zuko into situations where the audience empathizes and roots for him.
This happens in literally the second episode of the series, if we count the two-part premiere as a single episode, which I think we should. The A-plot of that episode, âThe Southern Air Temple,â is Aang reckoning with the genocide of his people⌠but the B-plot?
The B-plot is the introduction of Zhao, and more specifically, his introduction in a way that is calculate to shift the audience, whose introduction to Zuko did NOT engender a ton of sympathy to him, directly and forcefully onto his side. They want Zuko to kick Zhaoâs ass.
This continues all through book one and book two. Remember, Zuko is never, ever the main villain of this series. Thatâs initially Zhao, followed by Azula and Ozai. (Plus various temporary players like Long Feng.) Whenever Zuko isnât placed into direct conflict with the other protagonists, heâs always written and presented in a way that is careful, VERY VERY careful, not to make him too monstrous, and to make us root for him. Heâs placed right next to Iroh, who is designed for people to like, and that reflects back onto Zuko; we want Zuko to be better than he is because we want Iroh to have good things.
Put aside for the moment whether any specific character, including Zuko, deserves their redemption. If youâve decided youâre going to do that, you have to erect the proper narrative scaffolding around them, and it extends to far more things than âdid this person not do things that were too horribleâ and âis this person genuinely sorry and is working really hard to atone.â Thereâs a difference between protagonist and white hat, but if you want someone to eventually wear that white hat, you REALLY need to establish them as a plausible protagonist early on.
Yeah, it was made obvious from the get go that Zuko is definitely nowhere near Zhaoâs level of nasty, which in turn means heâs nowhere near Azulaâs and nowhere in the scope of Ozaiâs.
1.)Â
He made a deal with Aang to leave the Southern Water Tribe alone if Aang went with him. When Aang escaped with help from two of those tribe members, Zuko didnât demand they go back and destroy what was left of the tribe as revenge. He didnât even think of it as an option. There was no split second where he went, should I/shouldnât I?
2.)Â
This is repeated. He corners the Avatar somewhere, causes some damage to the area in the ensuing fight, but does not stick around to raze the village/monastery to the ground and kill the people when he doesnât get what he wants. Doesnât consider this a necessary action even once.
3.)Â
The Iroh&Zuko relationship is juxtaposed with the Zhao&Zuko relationship. Both older men have more power over him. Iroh is a retired War General and Prince who is not banished. Zhao is a Commander in favor of the Firelord, who is also not banished. We could tell early on that Iroh is wise and despite being on the bad side, seems to be pretty chill. We took a liking to him immediately. Zhao is the opposite. He is very much like early!Zuko. Impulsive, rude, loud, cocky, etc⌠But why is he more annoying? Why do we root for Zuko as opposed to him?Â
Because we see what Zuko is like with his Uncle Iroh. Iroh does not rub in the fact that heâs banished. He doesnât use that when reprimanding him for his attitude or his failings. That is a hot iron and he knows it. Itâs to the point where Iroh can bend fire in Zukoâs face and Zuko is perfectly relaxed over it and doesnât once believe his uncle will hurt him. There is a lot of faith in Iroh, from this angsty teenager, and itâs very obvious with their interactions.
Zhao is not trustworthy from the start. Weâre shown this by how both Zuko and Iroh are hesitant to interact with him and donât want to linger in areas he has control over, for too long. They even lie to him despite him obviously having more favor in the Firelordâs eyes than either of them do. Zhaoâs personality opposes both Zuko and Iroh. And as we like Iroh, we want him to win and have nice things, as stated above. But Zuko&Iroh is a package deal. And as Zhao reveals himself more and more to be nasty even if itâs subtle, we want Zuko to win even harder.
And even when Zuko wins and heâs in the prime position to do to Zhao what Ozai did to Zuko for also âspeaking out of turnâ⌠he doesnât do it. He walks away. He is the bigger man in that scenario. And Iroh further puts shame onto Zhao when he goes against the sacred rules of the Agni Kai because he canât handle a loss to a banished teen. We are shown that Zuko follows rules and has honor, which is reinforced by Irohâs, âeven in exile, my nephew is more honorable than youâ. Irohâs Word is basically Law at this point. Sf he says it is so, then he must be right and the audience accepts that. He knows Zuko better than us and hopefully weâll get to understand more as the story progresses.
Already by the 3rd episode, weâre shown that Zuko is in no way the worst person from the Fire Nation. In fact, weâre given a sort of scale now from the four major Fire Nation people we know of. IrohâZukoââ-ZhaoâFirelord.
Weâre also hoping that Iroh rubs off on Zuko enough for him to also become wise and learn to chill out.
4.)Â
When âThe Stormâ finally rolls around, weâre pretty invested by then in the Iroh&Zuko relationship and that episode gives us so much more info into Zukoâs character and we are shown that Iroh is right. He has honor and he cares for others. And yet itâs obvious the Firelord doesnât because we see Zuko do the right thing(protesting the plan to treat new recruits as cannon fodder) in the wrong place, and then his face gets burned off by his father because of it. And further, heâs banished for refusing to fight his own father. What sane parent wants to do battle with their own child? What sane parent banishes their child for speaking out of turn at the defense of their own peoplesâ lives? What the fuck is wrong with the Firelord?
Zuko was punished severely for showing compassion and having a kind heart. And Iroh(and the ship crew even) is properly mortified by the punishments his nephew received for it, which in turn affects the audienceâs perception of this situation. Iroh doesnât like it, itâs especially bad then.
Now we start wondering why does Zuko wants to go back to the guy who burned his face off?! Iroh, talk some sense into him! PLEASE!
Halfway through S1, they got us to the point of wanting Zuko to have a redemption arc.Â
Making the audience want a character to be redeemed is also very important in this. We were shown he has redeemable qualities. We want that pay off! Do it justice!
ok but if bruce wayne somehow came upon zuko fresh out of banishment he would lose his mind.
black hair? check. bad parent(s)? check. trauma? double check.
bruce: howâd you get your scar?
zuko: my dad got mad at me for saying that killing people is wrong so he lit my face on fire and banished me.
bruce, vibrating with excitement, already pulling adoption papers from his utilility: thatâs terrible. how do you feel about capes.
Zuko: Do you mind if I wear this blue demon mask?
Bruce: *sniff, tear in his eye* Not at all.
*Zuko fighting the Joker*
J: âwan na kno w h ow i go t thes e sc ar sâ
Z: *rips off mask* i donât give a fuck
Iâm still stuck at the âbatman has adoption papers in his utility beltâ.
âQuick, itâs time to use the Bat-adoption papers!â
Bat-option papers
Okay, but youâre missing the best part of this.
Alfred and Iroh complimenting each other on tea while they discuss their overly dramatic children.
iroh: once, i told zuko that he needs to work on his inter turmoil. he screamed at me that he had no such inner turmoil, and then proceeded to go to a cliff during a thunderstorm to scream at God to strike him with lightning
alfred: master bruce and i have that interaction at least three times per week.
@absentlyabbieâ
I see your âAlfred and Iroh as tea brosâ and raise you âAlfred and Iroh as tea rivalsâ
Consider
Iroh: you too must learn patience. Boiling the water ruins the delicate flavor of the white jade
Alfred: oh Iâm dreadfully sorry - for some reason I expected this tea to have TEA in it
(later)
Alfred: *aggressively laying out full tea service with milk, lemon, sugar, and, just to drive his point in, jam*
Iroh: *dying inside*
excellent addition
hey bruce spent a lot of his bat-study abroad in the far east and has kind of a weeb weapon collection so proposal, what if Bruce appreciates Irohâs tea
while Zuko is enthusiastic about cream and sugar
further fueling their dad-figuresâ passive-aggressive rivalry?
You had me at Zuko vs. Joker, I was crying by the Eastern vs. Western tea service
Wait a minute. Batman and Zuko have the same arch-nemesis.

âAang said things.â Her chin wobbles, but before even one heartbeat can pass, her mask is back on and she is the picture of a composed and unaffected young woman. âHe said things about you, and about me, and thereâs a very good chance Tenzin heard them.â
Something inside him lurches painfully. Aang has always been perceptive enough to dredge up Zukoâs worst fears and most treasured dreams, no matter how deep he buried them inside himself.
Do you think we couldâve been friends, too?
Somehow, he finds the willpower needed to croak, âWhat...what things did he say?â

I will reblog this every time I see it.
FUCK YEA
but likeâŚwhy was there a legend about forbidden lovers from warring peoples with a red and blue color motif who met in underground caverns lit by glowing crystalsâŚand then a pivotal scene of rapprochement between zuko and katara that opens with them framed in the exact same standing/kneeling position as oma and shu and that takes place in an underground cavern lit by glowing crystalsâŚif all that wasnât supposed to mean anything??? like iâm just supposed to believe that was all a huge coincidence??? that they created this amazing parallel by accident??? that is the fakest news tbh
I know right. The foreshadowing is right there. We all didnât hallucinate the cave of two lovers here.
messy zutara
Role swap au where Zuko was the Avatar who got frozen for a hundred years, so when heâs rescued from the ice instead of a goofy twelve year old Katara catches this mysterious teenager with long hair and a cool scar and a fucking DRAGON
Katara: BOY???? HOT BOY?????? HOT TEENAGE BOY?????????
Zuko: *speaks*
Katara: nevermind I hate him
How does Aang factor into this? I ask because the more I think about it the more I want him to somehow be trying to capture the Avatar.
Aang is 112 years old, decided he was going to be Zukoâs airbending teacher, and refuses to take no for an answer
Aang: Aw, the new Avatar doesnât want me. Aang: *gets out a weighted net* Time for Plan B then.
JDJSHJABDBFJSH
Look, you know how you keep a net from falling on you? YOU AIRBEND IT, SUCKA. Air comes right after fire in the cycle so itâs not like the guy has any other options. Do you want a flaming net falling on you? No? Then learn to airbend. Or this tiny old man will cart you away like a trussed turkey and lecture you about the power of laughter, going with the flow, opening your chakras, and other hippie shit.
Sokka, slouching against a fence, not moving: Oh nooooooo, that creepy old man stole the Avataaaaaaaaaar. Sokka, sitting down on the ground: We should dooooo something. Sokka, pulling out his lunch: Otherwise he might actually learn something. That would be teeeerrible. Katara, indignant rage coursing through her body: Sokka!!!!!!!! We have to go look for him!!!! Sokka: Might! Actually! Learn! Something! Katara! Katara: *wavers* Katara, also sitting down: We have to go look for himâŚ. *gets out her own sandwich* But, maybe after lunch.
I love that this transforms Aangâs role in the full Team Avatar familial situation from the baby of the family to the Grandpa with weird hobbies
My brain, immediately after the âAang wonât take no for an answerâ post:
Aang:Â Iâm gonna ride him! *jumps on Zukoâs shoulders*
Actually, I thought a bit more about this: If Aang is âgrandpa figure who wonât fucking stop teaching Zuko to be a better and more spiritually fulfilled person,â then what is Iroh doing?
And then it hit me.
Iroh: *sitting in a teahouse at a paisho table* Iroh, deadpan: I must capture the last airbender. Iroh: It is the only way to make sure the powe rof the Avatar wonât be turned on the Fire Nation. Iroh: Only then will I be redeemed in the eyes of the Fire Lord for my failure at Ba Sing Se. Iroh: ⌠Iroh: Anyway, itâs your turn.
About half of the B plots are just Iroh finding new ways to feign incompetence and bad luck so that his political watchdog canât prove that heâs letting Aang - and by extension Zuko - get away.
@ray10k
Sometimes Iroh plays paisho with Aang, whose entire disguise during these games consists of a painfully fake mustache.
AANG WAS THE OTHER PLAYER IN THAT SCENE OF COURSE ITâS PERFECT (the moustache is just a bit of Appaâs fur tied in a string)
i think about this post all the time and if i may, i would like to suggest keeping the banished royalty angle for zuko.
he was the eldest son of fire lord sozin, who knew the avatar was the greatest threat to the fire nation, but also knew the new one would be a firebender and he couldnât exactly merc his own people, now could he? but he always planned to order a convenient little assassination on whoever the new avatar turned out to be and in the meantime took out the air temples so that avatar couldnât learn the next element in the cycle. of course, when it turns out to be his son, sozin, stellar dad that he is, thinks âif you want something done rightâ and shoots a fire blast at his firstborn.
zuko enters the avatar state, blows up half the palace, etc etc as one does, gets a nasty scar for his trouble, and escapes, hence why he was hanging out far enough south to necessitate katara and sokka cracking open a cold boy a century later.
all this is to say 1. i think itâs a good way to maintain zukoâs background and characterization in an au like this and 2. it leads to a secret second roleswap
because this makes zuko irohâs uncle.
Imagining Irohâs voice saying âuncle zukoâ Iâll be busy laughing for the next few hours.
for the love of god, someone PLEASE write this
i literally get so angry when someone insults Sakuno as âtrying so hard to get Ryomaâs attentionâ. like, what the fuck bitch. sheâs not even trying to get attention. she is Ryomaâs friend. sheâs fine being so and quietly supports him. remember from the OVA ep, she did not speak about her reason for going to a shrine but then Ryoma found out why anyway. Sakuno isnât expecting her feelings to be returned, heck sheâs not expecting anything in return!!!!!

My first ever ship and really the only ship I care about đ I came back to the Tenipuri fandom again and I missed out on a lot of things. I read that theyâre apparently canon in their 20s? Is that real?
idk if anyone has said this but ryoma and sakunoâs relationship is a built-up from acquaintances to friends to boyfriend (this stage here still debatable at this point). sa-chan has always been there supporting him & now that ryoma (kind of) realizes how significant or constant sakuno is on his life and give her attention, you go hatinâ her character more. lmao, when will tenipuri girls get all the love they deserve. stop bullying our girls just because they are much closer to the boys than youâll ever be.
