I don’t like specific lists of things to accomplish in a year so I don’t vibe with make9s or long term project planning BUT I do love checking off squares and marking off things I did so I’m trying bingo.
No specific patterns or designs, theoretically fiber craft agnostic, hopefully a good mix of being encouraged to try new things without being overly prescriptive about it.
Please play along if you’d like. Interpret the entries in whatever way makes this process most enjoyable for you.

reminds me of the time Rage Against the Machine were vying for Christmas Number 1 (british public was doing a little trolling) so the BBC had to let them come on and play 'Killing In the Name Of' live on the breakfast show, and they asked them not to swear and they swore
me when I tell the guy who sings "fuck you, I won't do what you tell me" not to do that
If it’s nice, make it twice! This is the block I made for my May block of the month, remade in red, white, and blue for a guild challenge. I haven’t quilted it yet but I love it so much I couldn’t wait to post it.
If anyone has suggestions for quilting designs (hand quilted or free motion/straight line on a domestic machine) please feel free to make suggestions in the tags or comments.

I made my first quilt! Sharing it because I'm really proud of how it turned out, even though it's a bit wonky.
This was made with two jelly rolls (bought from Spotlight, one purple dragonflies and one pink/gold/white bees).
Some in progress shots:
This was while I was sewing the strips and trimming them to length. You can see the black and gold fabric I used for the binding, and the yellow ferny fabric that became the backing.
Arranging the blocks, and then the front all sewn together. Can you tell that I forgot what order they were in while I was sewing? Yes you can.
Hand quilting! I have a Bernina sewing machine from the 1980's which was my mother's, and I used that for everything I could. Which unfortunately didn't include the quilting.
And my stitches were atrocious, you can see here how wiggly and uneven they are. Looks fine from a distance, but don't look at the back!
You can see here that I messed up the back! I thought I could cheat and got two fat quarters for the backing, but it wasn't quite big enough, so I stitched an unused strip of jelly roll around the edge. Which worked great until it moved off by a couple of centimeters while I was quilting it. There was only one thing to do... trim the front border to be even, and live with the back being uneven.
I didn't take any good in progress shots of the binding, but it went on pretty well and hand-stitching it down wasn't as difficult as I feared.
And the finished product! I made this to cover a window in my bedroom, which doesn't have any curtain or blind (I stuck a piece of cardboard in it a year ago and then did nothing about it). So here it is pinned to the window frame.
All up, this took ten days (two for the front and back pieces, six for the quilting, and two for the binding). I'm really happy with how it came out!
All up, it measures 100cm x 55cm (21.5 inches x 39.5 inches).

The phrase "They don't want it perfect, they want it Friday" does wonders for my productivity.
I tell this story all the time but I'll tell it again! When I taught kindergarten full time, we had a working bee one weekend where we did a bunch of gardening/landscaping in the outdoor area. One of the dads put up a bit of fencing, then stood back and had a look, kind of frowning like he wasn't sure. His wife then came along, and the following conversation ensued:
Wife: GETMO? Husband: (after a moment, with a sigh) Yeah, GETMO. Me: GETMO? Wife and husband, in perfect unison: Good Enough To Move On
Absolutely LIFE CHANGING acronym, friends and enemies.
