The Miracle Morning by @hal_elrod As someone who dedicates their life to something they believe in, in an effort to help someone else, I know it's not always easy in a world where it seems most people either don't care, understand or care to understand. But I also know in order to do it you have to have that mindset that "if it just helps one person" its worth it. And while I know I'm not the only person I am 1 person and I am so thankful for the skills I learned and guidance I received reading this book. I NEEDED it. As someone who grew up without a father and went through so much, I never had a role model to inspire or encourage the belief in my ability to actually make MY DREAMS (NOT the traditional way of life) come true, this book was a lifeline and still one of my top 5 favorite books today. As an Author and Mompreneur today I can only hope to have an impact on lives through my work and my words like yours have on me. 5 years ago I purchased The Miracle Morning thinking it would help me reach my goals in my first network marketing business, instead it helped me lay the foundation I would need to make my dreams of being an Author, and Designing a life of FREEDOM, a reality. Thank you to everyone for your support of my new book Little Lady. If someone had asked me when I was younger what was my wildest dream, that climb a ladder to the moon, impossible, unimaginable, be, do or have type dream. I would have said, "I want to be an author and a speaker! I want to share my story and help others so they don't have to feel the way I have. I want to show them that no matter what, they can still make their dreams come true." I never would have imagined that the hardest part of achieving the dream wouldn't be the writing of the book or starting of the business. It was the person I'd have to become in the process. People don't just achieve dreams, they become the person who achieves the dream. And that's why most dreams die. Because it's hard. And noone will do it for you. We've all heard when you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life. But I don't agree. Because when you love what you do. You'll WANT to work everyday of your life. And that's where the freedom is. Remember there's two truths in business... Very few people start from something and you can't beat a person that doesn't give up. So don't give up. 2017 I said I was going to have my own home, start my own business and brand. I said I'd be an author, we'd be a full time family and I was going to be a millionaire. I had no idea how any of this would happen but I knew I was TIRED of struggling. Tired of feeling like I was just trying to survive another day. Tired of the same thing day in and day out. Something had to change. But that something was me. Now I've checked all those off but this year I check the last two. Your house is a reflection of your mind. Did you know that? What does that mean? It means that if your house is a mess, disorganized, cluttered... so is your mind. When someone asks me the first step to creating a life they love I always tell them 1 thing. DECLUTTER. All..the...things. Start with 1 room and go to the next. As you get rid of things you will start to feel the change, there's a shift that happens in your mind where you suddenly feel in control again. And then you keep going. Hey guess what, I know you look at other people, you look at their highlight reels, you compare yourself and your life to others causing you to feel less than and like what you have isn't good enough. But you dont want what other people have. You don't want to look like someone else, to be like someone else or do what they do. Because believe it or not behind EVERY person lies a battle that you know nothing about. You don't want their success or what you think is behind their smile because you don't know what it took for them to get there. You want to look like YOU but Healthy. You want to be YOU but Happy. Hes my sidekick, business partner, shopping buddy, helper, healer and he just gets ME If someone asked me what being a Mompreneur really looks like I'd probably tell them.... It's getting up everyday making the choice to LIVE life my way and enjoy it along the way. I dont do things because I HAVE to, I do them because I GET to. I get to get up and sip coffee in the dark while being thankful for the day ahead. Even if I know there will be stress, if I'm tired or just don't wanna. I get to wake my kids and spend our morning together, making breakfast and preparing lunches while they get ready. Even if it's a granola bar or they are bickering. I get to help my daughter with her hair, help Everett get dressed and witness my new kindergartener grow into his independence as he puts his own socks and shoes on grabs his backpack and tosses it over his shoulder. Even if I have to chase Everett and explain why he has to wear pants while telling Aubrey to put her pigs up so we can go. I get to take them to school everyday, walk them in and see them off. Even if I yelled at them to stop arguing over who gets in the front seat and what song to play. I get to spend the days with my last little baby before he's off to school. Even if he is a little threenager who thinks he runs the show, tries to buy everything in the store even though we only went in for 2 things and interrupts my work calls asking for another cookie or help washing the slime off himself he wasn't supposed to get. Oh and off the couch and anything else he touched. I get to work on my businesses, hobbies, take care of my home, make it MINE, make new friends, spend time with friends, go where I want, when I want, be present for the kids chapel, help people, work on myself and be the mom I want to be. Even though sometimes it's stressful, it involves cleaning the house. Some things don't work out, I fall behind or try to run too far ahead. People aren't always nice, you give way more than you get, healing is painful, you feel alone, noone is here to tell you to get up, exercise, or don't give up. 5 years ago we had picked up and moved all the way to NC. We had no idea what life would be like but we were excited for the adventure. Been married a year and a new baby to add to the 2, who knew that when we said we would have a great marriage that it was something that wouldnt just happen and we would be tested in many ways. We lived in that rental that had the WORST ant problem with 2 old vehicles and we didn't care because we started dreaming. We knew it was only temporary. If we could just be happy now, the THEN would come. So many times I thought I was crazy, questioned why I somehow always chose the harder path. Was it worth it. Could I really do it? Could I really be the person I dreamed of? Could I really live a life that only existed as an escape of the world. 5 years later and we haven't even arrived. But I've finally gotten to the point where I can share what I've done with the world. Healthy and strong enough to lead the way for others. People would say wow it's taken you 5 years, yeah 5 years..... 5 years of living my life my way. 5 years of watching my children grow and being there for them when they need me. 5 years of building a solid foundation for my family because I wanted to be like the wise man and build my house on the rock! I knew it would be harder. I knew it would take longer. But I knew if I stayed focused I'd get there because He said so. And you know what, the days were long yes, but the years, they were short. All I hope to do is show you that it doesn't matter. None of IT matters. If you are alive and breathing your day is a gift. You get to chose how you spend it!! And if I could give you some advice I would say spend it on the things that matter with the people that are going where you want to go. ... because the ones that are where they want to be aren't going to care if you get where you want to go. Aubrey has been wanting a cat for years and I wanted her to habe one considering she's the only girl, they teach responsibility, and are fun. But she ALLERGIC so this gorgeous little guy Fabio was our next best choice. They're easy to care for, hardy and healthy animals, are great for kids and even purr too 😀 Apparently it's illegal in Switzerland to own only 1 guinea pig so who am I to disagree. I wanted a family, I was afraid I'd never have it I wanted to raise my kids and still be successful, I was afraid it wasn't possible. I wanted to follow my dreams, I was afraid they weren't real. I wanted to be of value and help others, I was afraid I had nothing to offer. I wanted to be healthy and strong, I was afraid I was to late. I wanted to tell my story and how I changed my life, I was afraid of what people would think. I wanted people to join me and change the world together, I was afraid they didn't believe in me.
