MINDSET PERTAMA: Al Quran tidak membatasi perempuan untuk berperan. Cuma masalah skala prioritas.

Sebuah reminder — jika kamu, kita; sekarang, atau kelak; menjadi working mom.

Di sini bukan lagi membahas apakah ibu sebaiknya bekerja atau tidak. Posisi yang dibicarakan adalah ketika memang ibu tersebut harus bekerja, sekaligus punya kemampuan untuk berperan, berkarir, dan berdakwah ke luar.

Di sisi lain, ibu pekerja harus ikhlas menjadi seorang ibu yang bekerja — tak mudah karena di satu sisi ia tidak memegang anak secara penuh.

Di sisi lain lagi, ada ibu yang harus ikhlas menjadi full time IRT; itu juga tidak mudah, karena kadang ingin aktif di luar dan bekerja juga.

Banyak judgement untuk keduanya. Working mom dianggap ini itu. IRT dianggap ini itu. Dampaknya sering membuat diri sendiri down dan meragukan langkah yang mulanya tertata.

Padahal, maunya Allah itu berbeda dengan maunya orang.

Kata Teh Karin (ringkasku), begini: yang penting Allah yang menyaksikan apa yang kita lakukan. Yang paling tahu struggle diri kita adalah Allah. Yang paling tahu keputusan kita untuk menjalani dan memilih jalan hidup adalah Allah. Yang penting kita melakukan hal baik menurut Allah, tidak keluar batas, dan tahu batasan.

InsyaAllah, jika orang tua tenang, maka pengasuhan pun membawa ketenangan dan memberi keberkahan untuk anak.

Ada tips juga dari Teh Karin ketika menjadi working mom:

* - Optimalkan waktu ketika bersama anak. Konsisten meski dalam aktivitas sederhana dan meski terasa sedikit waktu. Karena Rasul Saw. bersabda: amalan yang dicintai Allah adalah yang konsisten meski sedikit.

* - Jika ibu memang posisinya harus bekerja maka harus ikhlas, perbanyak doa, lillah, selebihnya tawakal.

* - Ketika mulai stress dan berpikir “aku g bisa jadi ibu yang baik karena waktuku dengannya terbatas,” lakukan semuanya karena Allah. Melakukan pekerjaan yang bermanfaat menjadi pahala kebaikan. Penting punya mindset: bekerja bukan hanya soal materi; selama diri bermanfaat dan niat berdakwah, insyaAllah Allah rido.

* - Stress juga bisa timbul karena menggantungkan nasib anak hanya pada diri sendiri. Padahal kita sudah berusaha lalu berdoa; sisanya Allah yang menguasai hidup setiap hamba-Nya. Konsep ‘dititipi’ terasa berguna — sebagai orang tua, kita bisa lebih tenang.

Yang penting dalam proses mendidik: tetap tenang. Jangan terdistrak oleh opini sesama. InsyaAllah yang utama adalah Allah rido — anak juga akan kecipratan berkah dalam pengasuhan. Allah yang mengatur hidup umat-Nya, termasuh hidup anak.
