thank you, church of satan. you make more sense than anyone these days.
Thanks Satan
breaking bad, fight club, rick and morty, clockwork orange, and the catcher in the rye are all arguably good things - but if a man says they are his FAVORITE book/movie/tv show? RUN.
Can someone explain this to me?
Theyâre all works that are examinations of compelling but deeply flawed (usually narcissistic and violent) men. People rightly like all these works because they are good, but the implication of the original post is that if a guy says they are his favorite work, he is probably misunderstanding the point of the work and instead idolizing the male protagonist and is unable to recognize their flaws.
Basically, ask why they like it. If they like it because they think itâs well-written and made, youâre probably good. But if they want to be like Walter White, or Tyler Durden, or Rick Sanchez, or Alex DeLarge, or Holden Caulfield: yeah, RUN.
Finally I can reblog this post.

and they wonder why no one likes them
The second one is a quote from the office though
sometimes Iâm like âmy therapist doesnât really tell me anything I donât already knowâ but then I remember that I used to eat scrambled eggs every single morning because I hated them but I hated them less than I hate all other breakfast food on weekdays (donât @ me waffles are a weekend food and they Do Not start me on a productive path) and my therapist said, âwhy not eat a lunch food?â
and I said, âexplainâ
and she said, âyou know youâre allowed to eat whatever food you want in the morning. you are not bound by law to the traditional american breakfast.â
my fatherâs insurance pays a hundred dollars an hour for a woman to give me permission to eat a pb&j at six in the morningÂ
My roomba is scared of thunderstorms
I was sitting at my desk just a few minutes ago, drawing, and a really loud crack of thunder went offâno power surges or anything, just thunderâand my roomba fled from its dock and started spinning in circles
I currently now have an active roomba sitting quietly on my lap
Humans will pack bond with anything.Â
I had a teenage girl come into my tea shop with her mother the other night. She purposely grabbed a teamaker in the most crunched-up looking box on the shelf (got banged around in shipment) and carried it protectively over to the counter. âIf somethingâs in a damaged box I have to get it because Iâm afraid no one else will love it,â she laughed nervously.
Not only will humans pack bond with anything, the empathy level of adolescent girls in particular likely has puppy-saving, world hunger-solving, war-ending powers.
I once saw a really bumpy lime at the grocery store, just a real ugly fruit. Later that night my boyfriend & I were driving home from rehearsal at like 11:30pm & passed the grocery store & I stared crying & he said âis it that lime? Do you want to go back and get it?â And I nodded and pulled the car around and bought the lime.
Thats a good boyfriend and also a mood
In a simple experiment, researchers at the University of Chicago sought to find out whether a rat would release a fellow rat from an unpleasantly restrictive cage if it could. The answer was yes.
The free rat, occasionally hearing distress calls from its compatriot, learned to open the cage and did so with greater efficiency over time. It would release the other animal even if there wasnât the payoff of a reunion with it. Astonishingly, if given access to a small hoard of chocolate chips, the free rat would usually save at least one treat for the captive â which is a lot to expect of a rat.
The researchers came to the unavoidable conclusion that what they were seeing was empathy â and apparently selfless behavior driven by that mental state.
âA New Model of Empathy: The Ratâ by David Brown, Washington Post
OH MY.
this just in: rats are more humane than humans
For artists who have problems with perspective (furniture etc.) in indoor scenes like me - thereâs an online programm called roomsketcher where you can design a house/roon and snap pictures of it using different perspectives.
Itâs got an almost endless range of furniture, doors, windows, stairs etc and is easy to use. In addition to that, you donât have to install anything and if you create an account (which is free) you can save and return to your houses.
Examples (all done by me):
Hereâs an example for how you can use it
Great find, thanks!
OMG HEAVEN!!
Bless you!!!!

Let me tell you about my panda mini-washer
As an apartment dweller, this is a game changer. My current apartment doesnât have a laundry facility and the closest Laundromat about a 30 min bus ride which is just not practical. The mini-washer is a life saver
The panda mini washer hooks up to the sink, is incredibly lightweight (about 28 pounds, so light even I can lift it) and easy to use.Â
It has a surprisingly large capacity. The basket from the first picture represents about one and a half loads. The jeans took up a whole load while the rest filled the bin only half way.Â
Hereâs the inside. The left is the washer the right is the spin dryer. Yes, it even drys.
Basically you shove your cloths into the washer, fill it up with water and let it go. I use my shower head to fill it up so it goes faster, the sink hook up took about five minutes to fill the whole tub, with the shower head is is down to a minute an a half. I do it in three wash cycles, a five minute rinse with baking soda, a five minute wash with soap and a three minute rinse with water. You have to drain and refill between each cycle so itâs a little more labor intensive than a traditional washer.Â
Thatâs the spin dryer. Itâs about half the capacity of the washer so one wash takes about two loads to dry. The spinner is much more effective than I was expecting. A three minute spin gets my cloths about 90% dry. I hang them up to air dry for that last 10%.Â
The machine cost me about 150$. When you factor in two dollars for the bus, five for the machines (per week), the mini-washer pays for its self after only about six months worth of laundry.Â
Iâm not great at expressing emotion, but Iâm hoping you can tell how excited I am. Â Let me just say that the panda mini-washer is great and I highly recommend it to anyone currently using a Laundromat. Â
Read this and immediately bought it on Amazon for $180. I spend $15 a week to have my laundry done so this pays for itself in 3 months for me. THANK YOU JESUS.
@ all my nyc pendejas
Oh by the way, they have table top dishwashers that are pretty much the same thing:
This is one of the biggest technological breakthroughs for the everyday homeowner in the current decade: the realization that refrigerators arenât the only things that can be miniaturized for better affordability and minimal space requirements.
Can you IMAGINE how this is going to change the lives of college students and apartment-dwellers? Or anyone with a lower income who canât afford a place with âluxuryâ appliances like dishwashers and laundry machines?
Thereâs an even cheaper option called the Wonder Wash where you tumble the thing yourself and youâll have to line-dry the clothes, but it apparently works very well.
As an apartment dweller, I want to spread this.
Save a life
ok so thereâs a game me and my friends play called âdonât get me startedâ and basically someone gives another person a random topic and they have to go on an angry rant about it and itâs the best thing thatâs ever happened to us at parties and car rides so I highly recommend playing sometimes with your friends
I love this idea. We used to do things like this in Improv.
Related game: âTHINK ABOUT IT.â Youâre given a random topic, and your job is to build it into an epic conspiracy theory, the crazier the better. You end your rant with a serious face and the command that your listeners âThink about it.âÂ
Another related game: Illuninati. Similar to Think About It except you are given 2 completely different topics and you have to connect them to each other in a wild conspiracy rant
Rb to safe an awkward hang out
These are honestly how Iâve always communicated with my friends
Found a well in italy with a nice echo. Missing this trip already. [x]
How does it feel to wake up everyday and know you can snap like that
Damn. If I was on that street I wouldâve just frozen.
@king-narwhal thank you for this beauty XD I sat here listening to this on loop at 4 in the morning in just a beautiful awe of silence and it brought genuine real joy xP
the girl i have a crush on has a boyfriend
also i just scheduled for my first tattoo
