This is how I imagine some of 40k's warp entities to be. Some like being evil bastards, some are entirely unable to understand reality at all and cause death and destruction with their presence purely by accident, and then some are like "here is this human I like and the boss wants them alive for a thing in 70 years or so. But oh no what is this? They are in danger! But no worries I CAN HELP! :D" and then they cause widespread carnage and insanity with not a single shred of malice because they managed to "help" their favorite mortal.
