"HIKARU"
They put the noise in! Oh I like that a lot
FAQ
Where is your commission information, and how often do you open commission slots?
My papercraft commission info is here, and my ink/digital color commission info is here. I try to open new slots for commissions regularly and put up a “slots open” post when I do, but if you’re not sure if I’m currently open for new commissions, just check in with me via the chat feature!
If you are interested in hiring me for a larger project (a comic, an illustration series, etc.), please contact me at [email protected] for rates.
Is your papercraft work digital, or traditional?
It’s all traditional, physical paper, cut out by hand! (Though I do touch up the scans of my work digitally in order to get them looking as close to the real thing as possible.)
Neat! Where do you get your paper?
There’s no one single place I get papers from; I’ve just been collecting them here and there for years. I’ve found that most fine arts supply stores or craft stores will have at least a small selection of decorative papers, and if they don’t, the staff will likely know another place to find them. Stationery stores can be a good option too!
I’ve occasionally tried buying papers online as well, but that’s hit-or-miss - certain papers simply don’t scan or photograph very well, so it can be difficult to get an accurate idea of what they look like just by browsing websites. (However, nowadays in the era of COVID, this is the safest and most convenient way to get papers! So I’ve been doing it more often. I tend to stick to the websites of art supply stores I’m already familiar with, so I have a better idea of what kind of paper quality I’m likely to get.)
And the goldmines are, of course, stores that specifically sell just decorative paper! These are pretty rare but they do exist. Paper Source (which I think may be a US-only chain?) sells a ton of different types of paper, as well as other craft supplies like stamps and embossers and such. And my favorite favorite favorite store of all time is The Paper Place in Toronto, which is just endless display racks of utter gorgeousness. It’s ALL PAPER, ALL THE WAY DOWN. 10000/10, would visit every week if I could
How do you color characters’ faces and skin in your papercraft work?
I use a combination of colored ink, markers, colored pencil, and gel pens on Bristol board.
What glue and cutting tools do you use?
I use No. 11 X-acto blades and a small self-healing cutting mat while cutting my papers; pieces are glued together with rubber cement and/or paper cement. (Paper cement is a little trickier to work with and also seems to be a little more difficult to find than rubber cement, so rubber may be the way to go if you’re looking to grab some adhesive!)
Do you sell prints of your work?
Yes! Here is my INPRNT shop.
Okay, I commissioned a piece and it’s awesome! How should I display it?
Decorative paper can be damaged by humidity, so I would recommend either framing the piece or, for a thriftier option, keeping it in the plastic sleeve in which it was mailed. Sunlight will fade the paper and can cause the glue I use to yellow slightly, so ideally the piece should be displayed in a cool, dry area in shadow, or at least out of direct/bright light.
I’d kind of like to try papercrafting myself, now! Any tips for a beginner?
Rad! A good starting point is to look at different types of paper art – there’s the flat, patterned look that I favor, but there’s also shadowboxes, scrolling, 3D paper sculpture, scherenschnitte, silhouettes…. Look at a lot of stuff, and see what appeals to you!
Once you’ve got a feel for what aesthetic you like best, one exercise you can try is to get a few sheets of very different papers - cardstock vs. delicate paper, handmade vs. factory-made, solid color vs. pattern, etc. - and experiment with them. If you’re interested in intricate cutouts, grab some different cutting tools (be careful! Use a cutting mat! Wear gloves if you’re worried about your fingers!) and see what type of paper is easiest for you to work with. If you’re interested in patterned paper, grab a few different patterns and put them beside each other. See how swapping out different patterns changes the overall feel and harmony (or lack thereof) between the different patterns. If you like the look of paper sculpture, scrolling, or origami, try looking up some easy guides online to test out how different papers work with these techniques. The point of this exercise isn’t really to start making complicated stuff - it’s to get more familiar with the materials you’re working with. So try not to stress, and just have fun with it! Good luck!

i watch baseball for the side quests
throwback to 2021 when the exact same player started doing this extended water bottle bincoculars sight gag in the dugout
this is the same guy who also made himself a fruit cocktail midgame. he is The manic pixie dream girl
baseball is actually not a sport it’s just a documentary of human nature and how we battle boredom. the stuff these teams get up to while they’re waiting their turn.
and it’s hilarious when they pull pranks on each other, like attaching things to other people’s caps:
or the beloved hot foot prank:
or when they decided to put a guy’s pants over his head and make it seem like he was walking on his hands:
or when they opposing pitchers took turns playing tic tac toe every time they got on the mound:
i take back everything bad i've ever said about baseball these boys can fucking Post
Sometimes you have to entertain yourself out in the field too, like the time Victor Robles made friends with a praying mantis.
and some college baseball shenanigans

Little mer Neuvillette for mermay
some soft Vitya for living my life
elaborate on the canon dragon cock,
I am soooooo glad you asked it's been driving me nuts that Ryoko Kui gave us this gift and most of the fandom doesn't even realize it
Falin was fused with a male dragon. and you can literally see her dragon dick in some scenes. Thistle has her straight up spread eagle with their foot resting on her dick at one point!!!!
and like here's the thing I understand if ppl missed that. bc it's kinda subtle! but ryoko kui is a MASTER of anatomy, and she's also known to be a bit of a monster fucker (under exaggeration lol). She knew exactly what she was doing and this was a gift that she bestowed upon us and I think we need to appreciate this gift horse!!!
everyone reblog this btw I need to spread the word of canon falin dragon cock I need to be heard
@iconicname #you can even see it on official art and stuff lol
you're so right and I can't believe I forgot to mention this undeniable proof from the back of book 10
okay some people are reblogging this and saying that it's probably a dinosaur style pubis + ischium and like. fair!! HOWEVER my point still stands that she was fused with a male dragon so she still has a canon dragon gock and I won't hear any arguments to the contrary
squad goal
