Slushy Seals!

There's a minor optical illusion happening for me that makes it look like Sakura is popping out of the screen in a couple of these.

The Gloink Queen's children have hatched!!!

For some reason my phone's camera flash makes them look covered in blue lightning bolts. I'm guessing something in the egg ball caused this, and she got it on her when she bit the egg ball open.

I tried several shots with my professional videography light and this is how she looks without the camera phone flash, regular colors. I wanted to try to get some better focused shots but the babies were curious and wanted to come see me. Momma did some stompy stomps and her babies ran back to her, then she gave me a warning leg in the air that she was going to throw down if I did not leave her alone. She's the mom so she has final say in what she and her children need. I'll try some more photos on another day when they are out and about, but I imagine the day is already stressful enough.

Haven't had any inspiration in weeks to draw anything, sorry for not posting. So I made wax seals today :D (pls laugh at my joke) I think they turned out pretty cute.

I did not put this rock here. I don't even know where my queen GOT this rock. I think she dug around in the soil until she found it? She's been trying different rocks and keeps trying different ones, unsatisfied. I think I'm going to need to get some different pebbles for her to select from as after seeing her den regularly having the Feng Shei change I read that it is indeed her who has taken up interior decorating. I didn't know spiders could do that!

"I love KFC drumsticks!!!" (The C stands for cricket).

She was using one like a chair at one point. And I read that they use rocks to help block the entrance to give their home better protection. I also read they help them sense movement of prey as they're better able to feel the vibrations through the stones. I didn't know spiders used tools, not counting their own webs and trapdoors. How amazing she just knows how to do this.

"I need furniture. A nice throw rug, maybe some pillows. Make the isopods jealous they don't have my level of feng shui."
