This Apple Onion Goat Cheese Tart combines sweet and savory flavors in a flaky puff pastry crust. Caramelized onions, thinly sliced apples, and tangy goat cheese are layered on top of the pastry and baked to perfection. A drizzle of honey adds a touch of sweetness, while fresh thyme leaves provide a fragrant finish.
Ingredients: 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 onions, thinly sliced. 2 apples, thinly sliced. 4 ounces goat cheese, crumbled. 2 tablespoons honey. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh thyme leaves for garnish.
Instructions: Turn on the oven and heat it up to 400F 200C. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Set a pan on medium heat and add the olive oil. It will take about 15 to 20 minutes of cooking after adding the sliced onions until the onions turn caramelized. Cover the puff pastry with the caramelized onions. Put the apple slices on top of the onions. On top of the apples, crumble some goat cheese. Sprinkle honey on top of the tart and season with pepper and salt. Put it in an oven that has already been heated up and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Before serving, sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves.
