đđť support đđť creators đđť or đđť theyâll đđť lose đđť motivation đđť to đđť create đđť things đđť
Please, you guys. I donât normally talk about this much because Iâm very grateful for the support I get and I donât like to sound like Iâm preaching, but this is not about me. Itâs about all the amazing content creators I know on here who have said lately that theyâre rapidly losing motivation to create or even be on Tumblr anymore, because there is so little engagement with their work.Â
Despite itâs failings, Tumblr is such a brilliant platform because it inspires and allows so much creativity, but that well is going to run dry if people donât support content creators. I try not to be too pessimistic if I can help it, but Iâve already seen too many content creators vanish to just deny that this is happening. Everyoneâs dash is going to be dead as a doornail in a while if this development continues.
If you see art, an edit, a gifset or fic you like: reblog it. Like and leave a comment in the notes if you have something nice to say about it, by all means, but reblogging is the most important way for original content to be seen by more people, which will create greater engagement and keep creators motivated to create more of that content you love.
Content creators spend hours and hours and hours on their work, for free. Reblogging only costs a second (literally). Please seriously consider supporting your local gifmaker, editor, artist or writer by hitting that reblog button â¤ď¸
Artists âdo artâ because they enjoy it, yes, but having support motivates like nothing else.
