Of course there are now some people in the anti Alicent camp for the show saying that Daeron is a bastard because unlike his siblings he is the only one born with auburn hair like Alicent. Which is just so incredibly laughable and stupid. Alicent obviously is VERY WELL AWARE of the dangers of cheating on your spouse and producing a bastard, I mean hello! Rhaenyra and her problems are right there! Alicent would NEVER have an affair while Viserys was alive. She only started that AFTER his death. The second reason it is stupid is because its already been established in both the books AND the shows that not every Targaryen blooded person will take after the Targaryen parent in appearance. We have examples like Jon Snow and Baelor Breakspear to name a few. The third reason is that unlike the books (which shows that you don't have to be a Targaryen or Valyrian blooded in general to actually tame a dragon with the example of Nettles) the show has created their own canon that ONLY people with Valyrian blood are able to bond with and ride dragons and this season we see just how close Daeron and Tessarion are. If he was a bastard, he wouldn't have a dragon. And the fourth and final reason the bastard theory is stupid is because if the show wanted people to question his legitimacy, they would have given him black hair just like Criston, or hell even dirty blonde hair if it was someone random. But they don't. His hair is completely auburn just like hers. And again, the genetics of ice and fire says that you either inherit your mother or your father's looks. Or sometimes both. But its usually one or the other. He can look like Alicent and still be biologically Viserys's child, which he is! Antis are wild.
