Thank you! And unfortunately my advice is very boring—and some things only apply to digital art since that’s the medium I use—but hopefully it helps a bit!

For building basic skills:

Do a lot of studies of whatever you draw often, animals people furniture etc.

Lineofaction is a website for figure drawing that’s really helpful, it has filters and you can pick a timer or lack there of to get used to sketching quick!

For stylistic development and coloring:

Again studies, but more specific this time LOL; pick an artist and do your best to replicate their style or recreate a piece they have. I personally study Roberto Ferri and (very basic but) J. C. Leyendecker. Genuinely I find doing a sit down study can change an art style fairly immediately because you learn new techniques.

General fun things/things I do

For a soft look you can duplicate your lineart layer, blur it a bit, color it (like have red lineart), and put it on multiply—it adds a soft edge, it’s nice imo!
