WOW I REALLY DON’T KNOW WHAT I’M DOING I̶'̶M̶ ̶S̶O̶R̶R̶Y̶

Now I’m an adult and people my age have their lives in order and I’m stuck here, confused, because I never planned to be alive and I’m so far behind.

I want to make an addition to this. I made this post a long time ago.

I’m currently back in university, and I’ve made so much progress with my trauma. I’m in a loving relationship.

Things can and will get better. It’s not too late.

I’m getting married. I’m still in that loving relationship.

I’ve been married a little over two years. I just got home from friendships that feel like home and family. My husband and I have our own place. I have a full ass book ready to be published.

In case anyone hasn't heard, the cyclospora outbreak affecting tons of people in the US right now is coming from Taylor Farms produce. Best to stay away from bagged lettuce and prepared salads completely right now, but especially the ones mentioned in the screenshot:

Taylor Farms Earthbound Farms Little Salad Bar (Aldi) Marketside (Walmart) Kroger House Brand Target private label greens Costco salads and greens etc Trader Joe's chopped salad kits and fresh produce Fast food: McDonalds, Taco Bell, (Yum! Brands), Chipotle, Subway, Pizza Hut, KFC, Olive Garden, Top Golf, Red Lobster, Burger King, etc.

This is not the first time I've heard about a Taylor Farms foodborne illness outbreak. I stopped eating their salads after reading a description of the conditions in their facilities. Doesn't sound like they've improved anything.

(By like...a lot. Probably 85% of the jobs I ran were Taylor Farms.)

Outbreak is considered to have started 1 May, I was laid off on the 27th. That would do it.

HEB-branded greens also come from Taylor. Simple Truth Organic is also a Taylor brand sold exclusively through the Kroger conglomerate.

Some things I’ve been doing:

I got promoted to a full time director position three years ago and it stole all my brainpower, plus I’m raising a family and taking care of a home, so fanfic had to take a backseat for a while. (Yes, hello teens who think it’s weird for adults to have hobbies. I am ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. My partner knows, my friends know, even my mom knows, so take your weirdly misguided and close minded ideas and throw those in the sea; let acceptance and whimsy and intergenerational delight into your life!)

Anyway, here are some fics I’ve sort of been working on over the years:

1. This scifi story with Ineffable Husbands is nearly done on AO3. I love this story and I’m really proud of it. There’s intrigue and drama and adorable crows!

2. I found a Thanksgiving Mystrade in my WIPs nearly done. So look for that in November, I guess? And yes, I did say Thanksgiving Mystrade, and I do dunk on marshmallow-topped sweet potato casserole because that’s a traditional dish that deserves controversy.

3. And I have nearly finished writing a Christmas Johnlock involving one of my favorite tropes: jealous John. There’s a befuddled Sherlock, oblivious child Rosie, and a third Watson who is the cause of conflict.

4. I have fallen into the Rabbot Pitt. Er. Warren? But yeah, I watched two seasons of the Pitt and then a friend wouldn’t stop talking about it and now I’ve read every fic that appeals to me and as much as I want to shake some sense into Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, he and Jack Abbot have hijacked my brain. I’ve outlined some six or seven chapter story with emotional reckoning, Jack whump, and sex. Coming soon. 😉

5. I posted a Hannigram story set in haunted Appalachia. If you like myth, mystery, serial killers and ghosts, you might like this fic; you do not need to have seen NBC Hannibal to read it.

Anyway, I’m stuck at an airport in Nashville right now, and there’s been a two hour delay. I will spend the time working on Rabbot fic and entertaining the child, because this is how we do.
