I've finally decided that I want to read some Johnlock meta but I'm not sure where to start, because I know most of it was written before Season 4 aired. Stuff I would be interested in though are character and plot analyses, as well as maybe post-Season 4 retrospectives. I do not want meta that focuses too much on symbolism like random flukes in a room's coloring, or the "tea is gay stuff," as it seems too coincidental and abstract for my taste.

Anyway: thank you! You do good work in this fandom and I still fervently believe that Johnlock was queerbaiting.

So it's finally upon us, the weekend writers' retreat, which I will be attending starting today (Thursday). I tried my best to to get ahead and prep my blog for the weekend so that y'all won't notice any difference (I've even prepped a new list for Sunday! WOOOOOO been awhile since I've had a list ready this far in advance LOL), and I think the ONLY thing y'all will notice is that I won't have an hourly post for the next 4 days, LOL.

The ask box will remain open, but I probably won't get to fic-hunt requests and filler content until my day off on Monday. Who knows LOL. I'll be around, since I don't write a lot on the retreat (I draw) and usually take a bit of time out to file my blog, so meh, maybe I'm lying, we'll see hahaha.

This fanfic is an amazing crossover with Detective Conan. I genuinely can't recommend it enough. I've read and reread it so many times! It blends the two worlds so perfectly, while also dealing with the trauma Conan definitely has with having to solve murders on the daily.

Oooo! I have NO idea what Detective Conan is (assuming it's an anime given the tags on the original) but I always appreciate a rec from a fandom I've never heard of!

I'm sorry to bother you but I'm not having any luck finding very many fics where John and Sherlock start in a relationship, but since being with a man is all new to John, he sort of has to be "strongly encouraged" along by Sherlock. Sherlock being gay, of course, is not new to a physical relationship with another man. I kind of thought there would be quite a lot of fics with this theme, maybe "internalized homophobia" or something, but very few (or at least what I am finding) have Sherlock as the experienced one and having to lead John through it. Most are usually where both are inexperienced, or John having had brief homosexual experiences, only in uni or the army. And where John is the "leader" in any type of relationship because he has a lot of experience with women. I just headcanon that even if it's been a while, Sherlock would definitely have experience, especially since he's such a "for science" kind of guy.
