I know everybodys talking about the article but its this tweet itself that makes me lose my shit
tinder link in bio.
the replies:
*tapes scissors to my dick* why won’t anyone fuck me, edward scissordick?
I’m sobbing
I love going trough the notes every time bc there’s always someone in the notes insisting we’re all mean and that you can just wear thick dish gloves over your fake nails as if I wouldn’t assume you’re going to Patrick Bateman my ass if you walked into the bedroom with claws and yellow rubber gloves
her pussy
OUTTA MY WAY IM BOUT TO GE- ouchie. Ouch. Ouchie.
get back here and share that with the class
i love when museums have near exact replicas of their displayed objects for you to buy. haha 15th century ceramic cup you are in my possession
Went to a museum exhibit once that had this little guy
10/10, give me tiny replicas of animal statues that I am encouraged to pat as part every exhibit ever please
I don’t usually do this, but I’m putting a user on blast. Here’s the full text conversation that I had with “killpetitprincess1”:
I probably should have blocked them much earlier, but I was morbidly curious about how they would dig in. In the end, they blocked me, possibly because I suggested that I might share these screenshots, but more likely because they didn’t get a harassment ally out of me and decided to move on to another target. I’d strongly recommend that everyone block and report this account.
Actually, I should probably include this in a reblog in addition to in the comments:
Having talked to the person who was the initial target of this interaction, this user is apparently a serial block evader, a la the infamous Oxford comma guy – they create numerous blogs, spinning up new ones almost daily, for the expressed purpose of harassing a handful of people whose media preferences they hate, often with violent rape threats.
If you see any user with a username that seems to be a variant on this username who is engaging in anything that looks similar to this conversation, I would ask you to please report them, and specifically note that they are block evading. Tumblr staff is typically slow to act in these sorts of situations, and it’s a bit of a game of wack-a-mole, but many quick reports whenever this user spins up a new account could potentially help push them in the direction of an IP ban or similar.
I don't know the first thing about Hazbin Hotel except that it's a cartoon with an art style that reminds me vaguely of Invader Zim, but I will, for the sake of the bit, accept what this person says at face value about it. It's a rapey and transphobic show. Very good, that's the premise, we'll roll with that. Now:
Why is this person not going after Game of Thrones fans? It was a hell of a lot bigger than Hazbin Hotel, and, well, two words: Red Wedding.
Why is this person not going after Harry Potter fans--to the extent that they think a random fan nobody outside that fandom has ever heard of is worse than someone actively funneling billions of dollars into anti-trans legislation? Even if you take Rowling completely out of the equation, the Potter books contain sexual assault, severe bullying, and so, so many kinds of bigotry.
Why is this person not going after American Gods fans? Entirely aside from being written by Neil Gaiman, the book's plot hinges on unexamined violence toward women.
More to the point:
Why is this person not calling the CREATORS to task?
The answer is simple:
It's fandom wank. That's all it is and all it ever was.
This is someone who wants to be a bully and found a way to do so that some people will find acceptable.
June 13, 2026 - A powerful speech by Richard Barrett at the huge antifascist demonstration in Belfast, which came in response to days of horrific racist violence by far-right Loyalist gangs. [video]
Two of the greatest Irish revolutionaries in our long tradition of struggle understood the ruling class tactic of divide and rule, using racism and discrimination to pit working people against one another. Roger Casement gave his life to the cause of Irish freedom after witnessing firsthand the brutality, exploitation and dehumanisation made possible by colonialism and racism in the Congo and elsewhere. Their legacy reminds us that the fight for liberation is inseparable from the fight against prejudice and oppression in all its forms. Building a society where working-class people have real power over their lives, rather than living at the mercy of billionaires and now trillionaires, means challenging every attempt to divide us. Racism, discrimination and prejudice have long been used to weaken solidarity and protect the interests of those at the top. If we are serious about equality and liberation, we must stand together against all forms of oppression, because none of us are truly free until all of us are free.

A German regional court has ruled that Google is directly liable for the content of its AI search overviews. According to the court, previou
Let’s fucking go
This is HUGE.
1. The court holds Google responsible for statements made by its AI, considering them Google's statements (search engines have limited liability for results in their engine as they're the words of other sites/companies/people), meaning when their AI lies/hallucinates they're liable for the defamation/harm resulting from those statements.
2. Google's defense that customers are generally aware of the lack of reliability and are responsible for fact checking was dismissed. As the court pointed out, that would "significantly diminish" AI Search's stated purpose and it can't be distinguished from Google's business practices/statements as a search tool.
3. Studies have found about 91% of Google's everyday AI responses are accurate, leaving millions of searches per HOUR with potential liability for falsehoods. 56% of correct responses weren't supported by the sources the AI listed. Both of which mean Google is now liable for a LOT more AI "errors."
4. Google was held liable for 80% of court costs in this case and this precedent is expected to reverberate around the world. This is a massive shift from the 3rd-party search provider role Google has previously played and it comes right as they've tied ALL searches to their AI search.
TL;DR Google reeeeeally stepped in it this time.
5. If the words are Google's, this solidifies the position of universities who demand that all answers from AI are fully cited. If all the in-line citations now have to be (Google, 2026), that's going to make it obvious when someone's trying to use Google as a source. There's still the difficulty with people who are academically dishonest by trying to pass off the AI writing as their own. 6. 91% accuracy is officially too low to use as a source of references, which means the AI can't be used as a source of references either. This makes it less legitimate for such purposes than Wikipedia of all places (Wikipedia might need date/time proof of when it was accessed for the reference to be valid, but at least it is possible to prove the link existed at a particular date and time). 7. This will help encourage the rollout of courses on how to avoid AI search for students who need academic accuracy, because it's statistically not good enough to use. 8. This strengthens the case intellectual property authors have against Google in the EU, as this is proof that an intellectual property transfer took place.
my two brain cells
This is what executive dysfunction looks like
the thing is, if your younger self was a bigot or an abuser, u can't make people forgive you. but you still gotta forgive yourself, like that's non-negotiable, dude. that happens before u can even ask the question of earning forgiveness from anyone lese
oops, in your attempt to martyr yourself out of respect for your victims you accidentally sabotaged your own ability to conceptualize yourself as anything but a perpetual evildoer who is always one bad day away from hurting everyone you love, all but guaranteeing history to repeat itself. rookie mistake
im gonna try explaining myself, cus im a gambling addict and im waiting for the day that it actually works.
"forgiveness" is personal, that's why I said in the post that you might inflict harm on people for which they can never forgive you, but that's their quest. if you abuse someone, you can't go no-contact with yourself. you actually keep living in your own head indefinitely, and ultimately you need to learn to live with yourself in order to continue living a full life without further harm. this is not necessarily an anti-carceral thought, although i am generally anti-carceral myself. I simply want people to like, fix their heart and atone for real with measured accountability & self love instead of dissociating, self-marking themselves forever and guaranteeing their recidivism.
You and a remorseful abuser would both think I'm giving the easy, coddling path. It's actually the tough pragmatic path in disguise.
The kinds of people who argue once you abuse somebody you can never, ever change and grow past it and stop being abusive are almost 100% of the time people who will contort themselves into intricate knots in an effort to justify any and all harm they cause to anyone else in order to make sure they never have to come to terms with the fact that they're equally capable of being abusive to others (and in a not insignificant number of instances I've seen people who do this be abusers themselves but they've convinced themselves their victims deserved it so they're still morally pure).
Hot take but rigid divisions between queer identities and heavily-policed labels that are treated like diagnoses are really, really bad.
Trans men have shared histories with lesbians who have shared histories with bisexual women who have shared histories with ace people who have shared histories with aro people have shared histories with gay men who have shared histories with trans women who have shared histories with nonbinary people who have shared histories with etc etc etc etc etc.
Labels are important for people who want them, but we need to stop treating sexuality and gender as rigid boxes and checklists.
yes. labels aren’t a fort you need to protect; labels are a pin you can add to your backpack to signal being part of something. You can, in fact, have more than one label (as a treat).

Sub Radio dropped this today :0
The thing about golf as a sport is that there's like.... nothing Inherently evil about hitting a ball with a weird club. We've got several sports like that that DON'T require massive tracts of land kept mowed to within an inch of its life. To say nothing of the pesticides and water use.
Which is why I'm proposing Golf 2.0: Hard Mode! Where you just play Wherever, no high maintenance landscaping necessary. I want to see what kind of trick shots and weird modified clubs golfers can come up with if you need to get your ball out of knee-high grass and across a bog. Also you should bring back the all-plaid look. Give a lil boost to the Harris Tweed economy.
dude it's just politics, it doesn't matter. all it does is shape every single aspect of the society you live in from the second you are born until forever
instead 👍 of 👍 clapping 👍 between 👍 words 👍 for 👍 emphasis 👍 use 👍 a 👍 thumbs 👍 up 👍 to 👍 show 👍 support
I love that Dracula adaptations and spinoffs continually characterize Van Helsing as a badass veteran monster hunter when in reality he was called in because Jack Seward was like "Well he's the smartest guy I know and we've tried everything else so...." and then he pulled up like "Ah yes I've read a LOT of books about vampires so we're gonna hope they were right." And then he was thankfully correct.

This is clever & depressing: the Apocalypse Early Warning System tracks private jet activity. “In the event of an imminent nuclear apocalypse, we suspect that many people who have access to private jets will immediately take to the skies…”
Just watched Adam Conover (of Adam Ruins Everything) make such a solid point that I think we should spread far and wide. Yes, having AI write your emails is lazy, sure, but people love being lazy. We need to really emphasize that sending AI emails (or using AI responses on social media, or publishing AI flyers, or or or) is rude.
It's rude. You're making someone take their time to read something you couldn't bother to write. You're telling them they were so unimportant you couldn't be bothered to actually take the time to say something yourself. And frankly, you're lying about it while you're at it.
It's rude.
It's not just rude to make me read something you didn't want to write. It is that you expect me to respond to your email written by Claude. You don't even want me to talk to you. You want me to talk to Claude so that you can make Claude respond for you. It is rude to expect me to talk to a chatbot when I wanted to talk to you.
