but what i think is very interesting is the fact that this misogynistic, toxically masculine stereotype of the “transtrender” is still being used against trans men by people on this website who also paradoxically claim that theyre being feminist.

Like we are literally targets!! The transphobes in charge literally want us detransitioned and impregnated and if they cant do that then dead. They say it with their own words yet people still tell us that we're making things up

i think the thing that pisses me off most is the misrepresenting of the transmasc experience. like people will say that we dont experience transphobia, and the extent of the transphobia that we experience is people wanting to "protect" us from the evils of being trans

the thing about that is "protecting" trans men to them is forcibly detransitioning us. even terfs who claim to accept trans men are only accepting of us if we detransition to some extent. also, thats just not accurate, anyway. trans men are raped for being trans, we literally experience some of the highest rates of sexual assault in the lgbt community. we are also called pedophiles and groomers and predators and rapists. most of the bills targetting trans women only dont mention trans men because we were already affected before the modern bill was passed. we are also misgendered and threatened with violence, and are often the victims of violence

i saw someone a while ago put this into really good phrasing, i dont remember who it was and that sucks because i use this phrase CONSTANTLY, "trans men aren't invisible, our struggles are." trans men are attacked in the shadows and people claim that we arent attacked at all, and if we are its not as severe as what trans women experience, and neither of those things are true. and even other trans men, when talking about the violence that theyve experienced, will follow it up with "obviously trans women have it worse, but" and its like NO!! DONT DO THAT!!! DONT GIVE THEM FUCKING ANYTHING! we suffer even when people refuse to see it

Buck stares at Tommy’s phone screen like he’s never seen one before. His first reaction is a painful tug on his heartstrings when he sees that his contact name still reads “Evan ❤️”, meaning that Tommy has never changed it, even during all their time apart.

But that tiny spark of hope is largely overshadowed by the cold feeling that slams into him when he sees Tommy’s text, the text he never got, and the reply coming from his own number.

Don’t contact me again.

“I… I didn’t… send this,” he mutters quietly, confused, “What..”

“Buck-” Tommy is using that tone with him, painfully gentle, but his blood is rushing in his ears so fast he barely hears it.

“I didn’t send this,” he says louder, “What the hell, Tommy, I swear I never even got that text!”

He wrestles his basket of baked goods onto his hip, fumbling in his jeans for his phone, he pulls up his messages and thrusts the screen at Tommy, who pockets his own phone and takes Buck’s with both hands. He looks at it for a few seconds, then back up at Buck like he’s searching for something in the desperation on his face.

Tommy moves half a step so he’s no longer blocking the door.

People constantly tell fat folks that they're “promoting obesity.” Whether they're discussing body positivy and/or fat liberation, whether they're filming a grwm, or whether they're (God forbid) posting about food, fat people are constantly met with those kinds of remarks, to the extent that it has lost any original meaning it might've had. It has simply become a cudgel with which to beat fat people out of public life.

Meanwhile, there are upteen billion wellness influencers, fitness coaches, and celebrities pushing the latest fad diets, calorie restriction, and whichever supplements pay them them most, as well as the latest miracle weight loss surgeries, pills and injections. Extreme weight loss is being glorified and disordered eating is being splattered across social media rn, yet the people who are so concerned with fat people and obesity are curiously silent on this. This, in spite of the fact that eating disorders, extreme weight loss and malnutrition also have severe health repercussions, if you survive them at all.

Fat people are told they're “promoting obesity” just for existing, while extreme weight loss is being simultaneously normalised. The double standard is deafening

Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who was murdered on the first day of Pride month as well as Indigenous History Month. He died protecting his trans husband. Homophobia and racism aren’t marks of the past, and this is a heart breaking reminder of that.

I got this message today on my Ko-fi inbox. It seemed sus, so I didn't use the link and went to my profile to see if there's anything that needs approval. Everything there seems fine.

It MIGHT be a scam. Especially since ko-fi automated mail said 'Support sent you a direct message'. Which... doesn't sound like something actual site would send if there WAS an issue. The user is just named 'Support'.
