Thereās a lot of question of how Legolas managed to sneak Gimli into Valinor, and mentions of Tolkienās note about how might have Galadriel vouched for him, and I love that.
But you know who would have absolutely sided with Galadriel and Legolas on this?
Aulƫ.
Tell me AulĆ« wouldnāt have lost his mind with glee to see one of his children on the shores of Valinor. That word of Gimli wouldnāt have caused AulĆ« to burst forth from his smithy and gone careening across the whole of Valinor to find him.
Gimli looks up and there is this stout glowing giant of a being just beelining for him and he is really regretting leaving his weapons in the boat
And all of the elves that were discussing wtf they do now around him scatter with startled noises as Aulƫ scoops Gimli up into the bearhug of the century.
