Addition: The amount of bombs that Israel and the US have dropped on Gaza in the pursuit of genocide and settler-colonialism have significantly contributed to climate change over the past couple years and is directly linked to so many โonce in a centuryโ and โnever before seenโ weather and temperatures.
I do think you lose your right to medical privacy when you decide to become a politician and it is mad fucked up that these people hold our lives in their hands and are allowed to disappear for months on end with no explanation. You need a doctorโs note to miss school for a cold but we have no clue if Mitch McConnell is dead or alive and Tom Kean was allowed to fuck off for 4 months without telling the public why. I donโt give a fuck about your privacy, youโre not protecting my privacy, if youโre leeching tax dollars and partying it up in a rich person rehab resort somewhere while your constituents vote against our access to healthcare, we should be allowed to know. Fuck you. I say this as a disabled person, Iโm always having to explain the nature of my disability and the details of my health but weโre not allowed to know what the fuck is going on with these people.
I know I already made a post to this effect but it's so baffling to me when someone defends the fact that headphone jacks are slowly but surely getting phased out by smartphone manufacturers with some variations of "wireless headphones are more convenient anyway" bc like. If we're talking about convenience what I like about wired headphones is that they conveniently have a single plug that makes the same damn pair of headphones universally compatible with every single audio-output-capable device I own, from my phone and my computer to my fucking gameboy and my casette player, it doesn't get any more convenient than that.
