Everything that could go wrong did, and by the time you drag yourself through the door you’re exhausted, drained, and on the verge of tears. You don’t even get to kick your shoes off before two strong arms wrap around you from behind, pulling you back against a warm, solid chest.

Valko doesn’t say anything at first. He just holds you, chin resting on top of your head, tail curling gently around your leg like he’s trying to wrap you up completely.

“Bad day?” he finally murmurs, voice soft.

You nod, leaning into him. He doesn’t need more than that.

Without another word he scoops you up like you weigh nothing (which to him, you don’t) and carries you straight to the couch. He settles down with you curled in his lap, your face tucked into his neck while one big hand rubs slow, soothing circles on your back. His other hand gently scratches the back of your head if you’re feeling extra sensitive, or just strokes through your hair.

“You did so good today,” he whispers against your temple, pressing a soft kiss there. “I’m really proud of you, sweetheart.”

His tail thumps steadily against the cushion, slow and comforting. He keeps you wrapped up in him, warm and safe, occasionally nuzzling the top of your head or giving you little squeezes like he can physically push the sadness out of you.

When you finally relax against him with a tired sigh, he smiles and tucks you closer.

“I’ve got you,” he says simply. “You can rest now. I’m right here.”

You fall asleep like that wrapped up in your giant boyfriend, his steady heartbeat under your ear and his tail curled protectively around you. The worst day doesn’t feel so heavy anymore.

Infold is a Chinese company, that should know Chinese history, culture and law better than anyone. It's on them to understand the laws, regulations and cultures of the countries their games is available in, and ensure that they aren't being offensive or getting into legal trouble. Especially with the Chinese government and regarding Chinese culture, because, again, Infold and Papergames are CHINESE companies, and thus, should be well aware of their country's history and culture. They should know what the Chinese people may find offensive, what would be in poor taste, and what would get them in trouble with the government.

Yes, the crazies sending cow dung and god knows what else to their offices are, in part, to blame, because who tf does that?! But I think if the issues that are being brought to light regarding things like the reference to 731, are just as much Infold's fault. They should have been more careful.

If they need the player's to help them move somewhere with less restrictions and that requires less censorship, they should be upfront with players, and announce something.

You lived on this planet for decades, you know what you like, there are hundreds of websites where you can type into any search engine " things to do in [area]" and have at least a hundred different options.

"Oh I only use it so I can figure out what to make during the week with what I have"

The most popular website as you type in "recipes" into google have sections where you click dinner- quick and easy and those usually rely on staples + 1 or 2 items. I found 30 recipes on chicken alone.

"I had a writing idea, so I typed a few sentences into Chat GPT and I was able to write 20 pages with it."

While I believe that all Reader fics should be very ambiguous when it comes to the appearance of a character (unless tagged otherwise of course) things can get very tricky when it comes to things like character personality, choices, and back story.

Listen, unless you want to self-insert into the most bland character ever written who never makes a real decision or talks to anyone (because god forbid a self-insert character say something that you personally wouldn't say) you've just got to accept that not every Reader fic is going to be a perfect fit. There are going to be fics where the self-insert character has a different job from you or has a different family makeup from you (maybe they have sisters when you only have ever had brothers) or says or does something that you can't imagine yourself ever doing.

And you know what? That's okay. Not every fic is written for every person out there. Not every fic is going to perfectly adhere to your specific life choices, kinks, and personality traits. All you can do is acknowledge that maybe something wasn't written with you in mind and just hit that back button and find something that is.

I love that part of reading reader insert fics with reader characters is imagining myself in different scenarios. Like i don’t know shit about hacking but boy do I imagine it’s cool. I get to be this epic hacker in that one fic? Sign me up.
