@lunamaedotjpeg and i played around with the idea of how we wanted to draw Luke and Kieran without masks and what we headcanon their hair to be. We knew red (like so many headcanons) and in a way decided on Sylus’s hairstyle. Like two mini Sylus’s.
So lemme tell you the shock her and I had when Valko was debuted in the stream. He looked so good, he was what we were envisioning and a little more excited over than the LI in the game, and then BAM this guy walks in 😭 We were so hyped from the start and felt like infold was cooking again. For almost a year now my excitement for LaDs has been dwindling. Stories and events didn’t excite me anymore, I can’t bring myself to get up to date with the MS, it’s just a drag of dailies and then some fun in combat every 2 weeks in SHC. The constant AU’s (while once in a while fun) started to feel like they were passively making the mainstory or the Linkon relationship between LI and Mc feel stale.
So now Valko comes in as the freshest breeze of air in the game, he motivated me to watch Sylus’s Kitten Included and build more excitement for the game again. I was so looking forward to it. The tune that played before the teaser with the guitar riff absolutely got me good.
And then the next stream and we get to see his standard companion who is absolutely gorgeous, the big sword? The way he jumps in in the team screen? Too badass. His lines are so funny and could be something I say too with “come at me” and “now we’re cooking” i was really looking forward to using his companion and hearing what he says during battles. I think he would have been so soo much fun.
And then also the trailer to his standard cards? He looks like the biggest most adorable goofball who is also such a nerd with “we’re all made out of the same bimolecular soup” like yess we were all made from the same galaxy dust, he talks my nerd language. The silliness with the headphones and joking about the 4 ears? The openness and safety of physical teasing, poking, touching, play fighting. It was such a lighthearted giggly atmosphere that made me feel as giddy as Sylus used to as well. Valko was bringing so much excitement back for me.
Please bring him back we love him
