that much was obvious. the way your eyebrows were knitted together. the small pout on your lips. how your breathing sounds like you're trying to not sound shaky.
sylus notices. he notices everything when it comes to you. hell, it's scary when he knows more about your habits than you. knows that when your upset, you try to hide it, yet also want him to be there physically and emotionally.
so, he walks up to your curled up form, and carries you. it's a silent comfort, sylus wanting to make sure you know that he's there. he'll let you sulk, let you mope, and sure it breaks his heart to see it, but he's right there when those tears run down your face.
he's careful and good with his words, knowing exactly what to say. but right now, he knows that you just need the comforting thoughts that even though everything hurts, everything feels so far away, that he's right there.
sylus would carry you around the house, setting you down in bed. the pillows and blankets smell like him- the familiar notes of smoke and spice and something uniquely sylus. he would kiss your forehead, muttering something you don't quite pick up, but feels like a promise and reassurance wrapped in one.
you watch him move around the room with his idle grace. picking things up, putting things where they belong. he leaves the room, but you're not alone. mephisto is perched on the bedpost. instead of putting up a squabble, he crips mechanically, just as sylus had asked him to.
sylus is back in no time. a cup of water in one hand, a small plate of your comfort food that he learned to cook just for you. he'd put it on the bedside table, sitting next to you with enough space that says I'm here, I'm right here.
he's got a soft cloth in hand, gently dabbing away at the streaks the tears left behind. he gently asks you to drink water, even just a bit. his smile is gentle when you take the food that he feeds you.
if you'll allow him, he'll hold you in his arms. he acts like your shield against everything that is weighing you down. he'll murmur small things of reassurance. and you know he means it, because nothing sylus does or says is half done.
"I'm so proud of you",
"You deserve the good things that come to you",
"You feel like home",
"It's okay to not be okay. I'll be right here for when you are and aren't",
"You don't need to carry the weight of the world alone, not with me, never with me"
and when you're ready to talk, to let everything out, he's right there where you left him. right by your side, like a dragon who protects its treasure. there is no love purer than his love for you.
i love and miss you sylus. i've never needed my dragon more than i do now. wait for me, please.

We could still save Valko. The comments on their Instagram posts are filled entirely with people who are outraged but this decision to remove him.
Leave one star reviews on the App Store demanding he be returned.
Spread the hashtags #savevalko #bringbackvalko #wewantvalko
Leave complaints in customer service in the app
Request that he be released on global servers only if need be.
Apparently there are even cn girls on red note that are furious about this decision.
I have deleted the app and left plenty of comments in their comment section as well as left dm’s in their social media accounts.
Let’s all get active about this!!! We can’t let Infold do this!!! It’s is completely unfair to us global players who have been so excited for his release!
Description: Three days without your wolf were enough to have you crying and clutching onto him when he steps into your apartment after he comes back from a business trip.
Word count: 1.2k+
A/n: Finally got around to writing something for him. I just came back from my shift so its not my best work, but I poured my heart into it. Come back to us Valko, we are fighting for you and will never give up until you're home.
“Baby I'm home!” You heard sure footsteps approaching the living room after the front door closed with the keys jiggling and perked up.
Valko's breath left him abruptly when you all but launched yourself at him, clinging to him like a koala to a tree, making him chuckle with a smirk, his arms wrapping around your waist and under your thighs to support you against his body.
“Someone missed me.” His smirk only widened as you nuzzled your face into the crook of his neck. Indeed you had missed him. A lot in fact. He was gone for only three days, but you felt worse on all three of them out of all the days he was with you.
First, the insomnia started, then the lack of energy, and last and worst of them all were the nightmares. You grew attached to your wolf, got used to his scent and his touch. He made you fall in love with your clingy side, causing you to respond to his physical affection ten fold, sticking to him wherever you can. When he had to leave for business matters, you dreaded the time you would face alone.
You didn't sleep well without him by your side, cuddling you, scenting you and being the silly goofball he was, making jokes at midnight while under the covers to make you laugh and ease into him and sleep.
The nightmares were the core problem. The first one, he was standing beneath the cover of the forest, his body shadowed and as much as you tried to reach out for him, the forest seemed to stretch out into the distance, taking him with it until he was but a speck in the distance. The faster you ran, the further he was, an endless loop of despair.
The second one, you were cuddling up to him in bed like any other night, until he cradled your face so sweetly, smiling softly as his eyes gazed lovingly into yours.
His fingers held your cheek gently as he whispered, “Don't forget me, my moonlight.” You scrunched your eyebrows, nervously giggling and shaking your head.
“Of course I won't, what are you on about, Valko?”
In that moment, you realised why he had said that because as he stared so sweetly but heart breakingly at you, his hand holding your cheek began transforming to some kind of broken down code, disintegrating right in front of your horrified eyes.
It all seemed to move in slow motion in your dream, his smile and sweet, shining eyes gazing at you before they also were gone with the disintegrating code. Erased like he never existed. You reached out in a panic, but your hands fell short when they made contact with air, and at that same moment, you jolted awake. You found yourself in the last position you were in from your dream, with your hands stretched out, reaching for something that wasn't there.
You rushed to call Valko, knowing he might be asleep but your mind needed to know he was okay and coming back home to you again. When he picked up the call, his voice was raspy. Clearly just woken up from his sleep but nevertheless, he sounded happy to talk to you.
“Didn't know you had a knack for calling at four in the morning, bub. What's up?” He yawned midway in his sentence, making you let out a choked giggle, incandescently happy that his sense of humour and charm was still there even when abruptly woken up at four am.
“Just… wanted to hear your voice.” You didn't mean to make your voice crack, but you hoped he would think it's because of the late hour, and partially because you're exhausted.
“You'll hear my voice plenty when I'm back home after tomorrow, dontcha worry about it.” You smiled, snuggling into your bed covers as you conversed more with him, till the sun rose and you had to get ready for the day.
The third one was a mix of both nightmares. Again, he was standing underneath the veil of the trees, this time mere feet away from you with his body facing you. You called out to him weakly, your call hesitant as you reached out your hand.
“I'm here, my moonlight.” His silly smile was on his face, and his arms opened up to invite you.
You fell right into the trap when you stepped forward, arms outstretched and anticipating the warmth and security of his hug only to stumble forward as your body faded right through him. Your breath hitched, your pupils shrinking as you whipped around, and saw the last specks of dust dissolving into the soil underneath you, Valko nowhere to be seen.
You shook your head violently as it rested on his shoulder, and Valko tensed when he caught a whiff of your distressed scent, only to hear a sniffle right afterwards.
“Woah, woah, what's wrong baby? Why the crying?” He furrowed his brows, his arms tightening their hold on you as he rubbed his chin over your head, his own cute way of trying to comfort you. His feet carried him to the couch and he plopped down, making sure not to jostle you too much as he adjusted his hold on your legs, keeping them around his waist so you're sitting comfortably on his lap.
“I'll never let anything take you away from me.” Your words were rushed, cracking in the middle and you continued before he could reply. “You are not allowed to leave my sight ever! I'll leash you to me if I have to! Y-You'll stay-!” Your sniffles transformed to full blown broken and painful sobs as your hands gripped onto his shirt tightly, trembling as you held onto him desperately, the fear that he might disappear just like in your dreams too, clutching onto you.
“Hey, woah, where is this all coming from? I'll never leave you, not even if the universe itself tries to snatch me away.” He struggles to pull your face away from his shoulder and make you face him, reminding him of your strength and one of the plenty of reasons he fell in love with you.
“And hey, even if some unknown entity tries to separate us, I know you'll fight tooth and nail to not let it happen. You're the headstrong hunter, and I'm your wolf, right?” You sniffed, his hands nearly engulfing your whole face, acting like curtains hiding you from the world, helping you focus on one person only.
Valko.
“Damn right.” Another sniff, and he chuckles as his thumb wipes at a few more stray tears. He loves your tenacity, even when broken down and crying, you know what you stand for and aren't scared to show it. Another reason why he adores you and loves you so.
“Damn right, indeed. So kick those thoughts away and let's make popcorn and watch twilight, how about that? We can mock the characters and laugh together.”
You eagerly nod, your nose and eyes red but your smile back on your face and Valko is more than ecstatic seeing your smile back, pecking you all around your face before picking you up and heading to the kitchen.
“Oh and I got lots of chocolate, was craving them.”
“Valko! You stuffed your face with enough chocolate before you left!”
“Come on miss hunter, let this one slide for your little wolfie.”
“Only this once because I'm in my feelings!” You said begrudgingly, not entirely opposed to the idea of stuffing your faces with the sweet treats.
“Whatever the alpha commands.” His voice was teasing, a wolfish smirk appearing as you punched him. You yelled out his name, flustered, only making him burst out laughing, soon enough causing you to join in too.
I am so grateful and proud of every single person who has participated and is continuing to participate in the fight to get Valko back! Doesn't matter how "small" you think your contribution to the cause is, every single thing helps! I encourage everyone to keep going, keep fighting, and keep up hope that Valko will return! This is a marathon not a sprint so please remember to take care of yourself! Sending all the love ❤️

guess we never got to see that ending after all...
Honestly, the saddest part about this entire situation is that Valko was never even given the chance to enter the game.
At the very least, I believe Infold should have released the update first, observed players' reactions to his story, and seen how his banners performed before deciding to discard what was likely months— if not years— of creativity, planning, resources, and hard work poured into creating an entirely new love interest.
I can't help but feel heartbroken for everyone involved in bringing him to life: the designers, writers, artists, animators, va, and every member of the team who contributed to his creation.
Valko felt intriguing, unique, and genuinely refreshing. Even from the limited content we received, it was clear that a great deal of care had gone into writing and designing him.
Right now, I'm genuinely upset and disappointed by this decision. If it ends up being permanent, I honestly don't know how I'll feel about continuing to invest my time in the game.
For those of us who were excited to meet him, the least we can do is be the voice of a misunderstood wolf who never got the chance to howl beneath the moon (╥ ω ╥)
Valko Meds Reminder PNGs I made! 🐺
Shoutout to @cairoblair for inspiring me to dive into the idea cooking in my head 😄 💜
These are for anyone to use, just keep my signature on there is all!

Valko does the exact opposite of what you ask and continues eyeing the chocolate you've left on the table. His eyes narrow and his arms cross over his far too large than reasonable chest, frown deeply set into his face, determined to show just how upset he is. Try as he might, the slight swing of his tail and twitch of his ears give him away every time to you.
Amber eyes shine faintly when you approach, and his tail wags just a bit faster, "Come on, please?"
You had obviously upset him. While Valko wasn't one for giving the silent treatment, he had been pointedly ignoring you while moping and whinging instead of actually coming to you. It came to a standstill when he had locked himself in your shared bedroom all day without even so much as a kiss on the cheek.
Though you knew if you did the same, he would've been draping his stupidly heavy body over your lap like a weighted blanket. That, or he would've been nuzzling you nonstop to get you to look at him.
Your crime? You'd eaten the last of his treats.
He'd come home late the previous night, exhausted and grumbling quietly. He was looking for a little pick-me up before he went to cuddle with you, so he opened the fridge to grab the chocolate he'd been saving just for a situation like this.
Only it wasn't there anymore. He had sniffed, looked and damn near rearranged the fridge in his search but it wasn't there, and which each condiment he moved and he didn't see it, his heart sank further.
You surprisingly woke up to him curled up on himself on the far side of the bed for that reason.
"Val, come on," you try batting your eyes at him, cupping his cheeks but he raises his head to the side, bottom lip jutted out and his eyes squeezed shut. Despite this little show of defiance, you couldn't help but giggle.
"I'm sorry, okay!" he hears you giggle and he folds immediately, glancing down at you with a frown and knitted brows, which you now kiss away. Call it compensation in addition to the basket-full of chocolate you gifted him.
Valko takes you into his arms and lets you shower him with all the kisses he deserves, going as far as to nuzzle his nose into your neck. You weren't the only one starved of affection, after all, and he was more than glad to redeem this rare chance of being as clingy as he wanted without you pulling away any time soon.
