Like Buzot proposing death for any kind of support of royalism;

Gaudet laying the foundation of lèse nation by proposing death for any attempt to modify the constitution or negotiation (direct or indirect) with rebels or foreign powers;

the Girondins kicking off the war in the Vendée with mass conscription;

then paving the way forward for the worst mass executions in the provinces by pushing legislation that decreed death for all who'd taken part in the revolts, rather than just the leaders.
