Max Blunder is just the most extreme version of the Grian character archetype I'm immensely fond of in which he goes out of his way to take care of other people in every way possible while putting on a show of acting less invested than he is. Max Blunder being rude and arrogant and always 'forgetting' people's names and talking over them while simultaneously being the party healer whose oorp stated motivation is not wanting to see people be hurt is just the comedic dramatization of Third Life Grian taking care of Scar all season while loudly narrating how he's totally going to leave the whole time (which he never does, because he was extremely loyal). That's like..The Dynamic with Grian characters and I adore it every time.
