Well,

when a recently divorced, former Priest Turned Pastor, who’s struggling to raise a young boy himself, and a Hotel Owner, who’s turned to everything and everyone for help and on the brink of ending it all

it's like your body is just expecting damage and isn't sure what to do now that there isn't any, so it just sends Feeling there. it's not painful and it's not quite itchy, more warm and fuzzy but not in a good way. distracting. and after a long time of it not going away: distressing.

(I’m not in the genshin fandom, nor do I exactly know who lohen is, but I found this fanfic so profoundly heartbreaking I just had to share it. My friend is super duper talented and I’d appreciate it so so much if you would leave a comment or kudos on her fic!!! Ty all :))

Varka starts again. “I mean, well. Just saying, you know it’s okay to not be okay, right? If you ever need to talk, you–”

“It’s fine.” Lohen dismisses, vacant look taking over once again.

“You don’t have to worry about me. I won’t do it again.”

“You know it’s not like that, right? Do you seriously think I’m asking this because–”

“Drop it.” Lohen’s voice cracks, but his tone is cold all the same.

Or: In the aftermath of Adorno’s death, Lohen doesn’t exactly want to face what grief could possibly mean to him.
