I sit down to do my job as a character designer. I spend hours meticulously crafting a design. flourishes. unique design traits. I wipe sweat off my gross artist forehead. crack my knuckles. start colouring. I try seven different colour schemes. tweak the saturations. hues. contrast values. I have an understanding of colour language. complimentaries. what different hues and tones express about a chracter. I step back. I'm pleased.
