Every time I post some silly doodle I think to myself "this is a silly doodle I'm not going to clean it up or sign it or anything bc it'll get like 20 notes tops" and then that's the one that ends up blowing up

I sit down to do my job as a character designer. I spend hours meticulously crafting a design. flourishes. unique design traits. I wipe sweat off my gross artist forehead. crack my knuckles. start colouring. I try seven different colour schemes. tweak the saturations. hues. contrast values. I have an understanding of colour language. complimentaries. what different hues and tones express about a chracter. I step back. I'm pleased.
