maybe this is just me being overly literal, but i am always confused by people who complain that "nobody is allowed to say (x) anymore!" because in most cases you absolutely are allowed to say (x). what you actually mean is "i want to be able to say (x) without people getting mad at me" which is a much more honest sentence

tumblr is actually almost usable if you just filter 400 terms and block 900 blogs and have anons off and have messages off and have comments off and have reblogs off and never post any of your opinions and never express mild annoyance at anything ever!

so cool how advanced the algorithm has become, it literally only takes like a decade or more of spying on all my internet activity and then it can expertly curate a selection of 15-20 youtube videos that i don't really want to watch, and then keep showing me those videos over and over again for a week so i can scroll past them again. the future is now
