kind of a rant, but i think the twilight princess soundtrack is genuinely so great and the hidden gems get REALLY overshadowed by (still peak) midna's lament, when some of the best sound tracks in the game arent popular at all. thus, in no particular order, i have taken it upon myself to share my favs in NO PARTICULAR ORDER:

Light and Shadow. this is right before the midna's lament segment i believe, when zant uses the lanayru light spirit to attack midna. unlike being refined and elegant yet still threatening you'd expect from Ganondorf, it's super creepy and unsettling which really solidifies what Zant is like — he's unhinged, and i feel like the music makes him sound threatening and crazy at the same time.

Faron Woods. i think it sounds both peaceful and sad, and considering it's the area that's directly outside of Link's hometown of Ordon village, it does a fantastic job of capturing the complex feelings of leaving the only home you've ever known. the lower pitched guitar layer gives it a bit of dread and melancholy that makes you unsure of what's to come, but the higher, upper layer also adds a bit of hope and peace to it? like you may rest here but something within you can't be fixed. also PERFECTLY encapsulates the entire vibe of twilight princess.

Scared. im pretty sure it plays when you're in kakariko village and see the kids hiding from twilit beasts? let me tell you that this theme. GENUINELY terrifies me. maybe it's bc it's almost 5 am and i havent slept yet, but i rarely hear music that genuinely fills me with panic. the deep beats paired with the high pitched synth strings make it sound like it's straight out of a horror movie.

Snowpeak. while it's a little bit plain, the sustained choir makes it really sound like a desolate, freezing place. overall it's just so pretty to listen to.
