honestly he just looks like his minecraft skin, though his hair is loosely inspired by his profile picture. i think that redstone and machines acting up around him isn't just him being unlucky and is a sign of something more... unnatural

Scar - The Merchant

buff as hell, obviously, but with that big goofy smirk. he reminds me of spongebob when he's imagining himself as muscular for some reason.

bc of his association with magic and trading (and violence), and past connection to vexes, i like the idea that he was raised by illagers

Mumbo

tall and lanky, the tallest of all the players. his design should lend itself to fit with his very nervous awkward demeanor, while also suiting (hah) his more unhinged or cryptid moments. very waluigi energy either way.

doesn't have an epithet because i can't think of one that i like for him, if a character doesn't have an epithet assume that i couldn't come up with one

Jimmy - The Fool

kinda plain compared to everyone else tbh, though his hair helps him stand out. i didn't want to do the canary-hybrid stuff bc while i see the vision, i don't personally like most of the hybrid depictions (also i think the ear wings look stupid tbh, not to diss anybody that draws them, i just don't like em)

Joel

yeah he's got fangs, i made him an ogre. i'm surprised more people don't do this. is it bc people think they'd have to make him look like shrek?

Impulse - The Engineer

based mostly on his profile picture (hence the similar hairstyle and taller face compared to skizz)

Skizz - The Knight

like impulse, is based on his pfp

Tango - The Gamemaster

trying to figure out what physical build i wanted for tango was surprisingly difficult. in an older version of his sprite his hair was based on vegeta's, make of that what you will

also i'm taking his one-off comment about his eyes being red due to redstone exposure and running with it

Etho - The Survivor

kakashi cosplay on a budget. changed his red eye to match tango's, with a similar explanation (specifically a redstone-related injury, ouch). also he has a maple leaf on the back of his parka, but it's not visible from the front for obvious reasons

his title references both his status as one of the original popular minecraft youtubers, as well as eludes to the survivor role in social deduction games (such as town of salem or modded among us) which can win with anybody as long as it stays alive to the end of the game

Bdubs - The Clocksmith

Pizza Tower. in an animated setting he would need the most deranged and exaggerated expressions possible because this man is a living cartoon. also he physically isn't that much shorter than everybody else but bc most of that height is relegated to his head he comes off a lot shorter lol

this man went through five or six redesigns and i cannot promise that there won't be another

i love how the texturing on his shirt turned out, super proud of that. his hair is inspired by his vtuber model, though like cleo i kept his minecraft skin's outfit

also his epithet is the traitor because i have no idea how he became the symbol of loyalty, the only time he hasn't betrayed an alliance was because either he or they died before he could get the chance to

Rendog - The Thespian

buff dog man. his shades are a little lopsided and i probably could've done his ponytail a bit better but other than that, i'm happy with how his sprite looks

Lizzie - The Shadow

not much to comment on, i didn't think until earlier today that i should make her a fairy to match joel being an ogre but that can come with the eventual character sheet

BigB - The Associate

a part of me wishes i made him a little more friendly-looking, but aside from that i don't have much to say. i like the idea of him and pearl having matching frog hoodies in limited life tho

in a weird way she kinda reminds me of noelle deltarune, maybe it's how tall her eyes are idk. like i said before, she'd have a frog hoodie in limited life

also can we talk about how every base that pearl has ends up having a tower incorporated into it somehow like chat is this lore
