When Devlon was being a backwards misogynist, he said that Nesta would need to bury the weapons when she was done with them if she was menstruating. Cassian points out that she's the High Lady's sister and deserves some respect.

Azriel has the same exact mindset. Elain is the High Lady's sister. Antis think he's going to hump and dump her and move on to someone else? Is that being respectful? Would Feyre be okay with him hooking up with Elain and being like MEH, I'VE HAD BETTER, let me go see what this other girl is like...? Make it make sense.

You can't convince me that they actually like Lucien. That man does not want to be with Elain, yet you have Vassa right there, someone Lucien is genuinely comfortable with, and you still want to force him to be with Elain so Azriel is free for you to self-insert Gwyn with.

They hate Elain, but they also wouldn't choose Lucien if Azriel were available. And honestly, I get it he's kind of a prick.

Gwyn has just the right amount of nothing going on in her character for people to call her perfect. She doesn't need character development, flaws, or meaningful conflict as long as Azriel gets all of that for her.

Second if Gwyn so much as thought about harming Elain (for any reason) the entirety of the Inner Circle INCLUDING Nesta would intervene. Nesta has literally threatened to kill people for Elain, you think she’ll just be fine with her new friend harming her sister? Azriel was ready to go after Nesta for hurting Elain’s feelings (after he met his so called mate btw) He would absolutely take out anyone who threatened Elain. Rhys, Feyre, Mor, Amren, Cassian not one of them would be ok with Elain getting harmed in any capacity. Go reread the books.
