No, I lied. I’m still fuming about it, Ferrari absolutely made the wrong call. GR was sitting 18 seconds behind Lewis and had already pitted earlier. That gap was nowhere near enough to cover a pit stop. Max’s car was buried in the wall at Stowe and it was obvious there wouldn’t be time to clear it, unlapped the traffic, and restart properly. There simply weren’t enough laps left, even with a rolling restart, we were looking at one lap maximum! George wasn’t coming in anyway, he stopped already for his puncture. Lewis’s tyres were older, sure, but not by much (about ten laps I think, then you can argue medium vs hard), especially for one lap. Just trust your driver to defend for one single lap. That’s it. They gambled for ONE POSSIBLE LAP.

if Ferrari would actually invest in Lewis as much as they emotionally invested in Leclerc maybe they'd be somewhere

i get that we're all mad but ferrari had no way of knowing there would be no restart... if they hadn't pitted him and there had been a restart we'd be cursing them all the same 😭 it's still a podium! he's been so consistent all season!! and there's so much more to go! have faith!
