Nesryn wasn’t even a character in TOG until QOS and she still got her own pov lol. Vassa is the one good human queen who’s literally tied to the over arching plot in multiple ways but Let’s look at what the author herself has said.

One of BB discussion prompts is “which pov/s will be in acotar 6”.

At this point I’m done trying to guess or get excited for any announcement and I’ve accepted we really may not know anything until the actual release day.

I’ve been saying since acosf came out that Lucien will be the one to get his own TOD style book off in the spring court/human lands w Vassa. Acosf set him up exactly for this the way QOS set Chaol up for TOD.

You cannot have Elains story fleshed out with out fleshing out Lucien and dealing with the bond. I have been saying for years I think Elain and Lucien will both reject their bond and choose love over their bond. Lucien w Vassa and Elain w Azriel.(if their bond is in fact real which at this point at least it is)

Ppl seem to forget SJM talked about wanting to write a swan lake retelling and vasalisa the beautiful. Which if you look into the folklore fits Lucien and Vassa to the T.

Now before ppl freak I am in no way saying Lucien himself is anything like Mr Collins… bc he’s not…I’m referring to their dynamic. They have no chemistry whatsoever and every interaction is so forced and Elain literally shrinks in on herself around him.

You can hate tamlin all you want but it is literally canon he was never actually working w Hybern. He was ALWAYS using him and playing spy. Here is 3 different passages from canon explaining this.

Lucien-“We were backed into a corner with no options. None. It was either go to war with the Night Court and Hybern, or ally with Hybern, let them try to stir up trouble, and then use that alliance to our own advantage further down the road.”

Tamlin-The mocking, hateful gleam faded into granite resolve. “I stand against Hybern.” “Prove it,” Helion goaded. Tamlin lifted his hand, and a stack of papers appeared on the little table beside his chair. “Charts of armies, ammunition, caches of faebane … Everything carefully gleaned these months.”

Feyre-Tamlin. His actions would cover Jurian’s betrayal. I had no doubt Tamlin hadn’t gone back to Hybern’s army after the meeting to betray us—but to play spy. Though after last night … it was unlikely he’d get close to Hybern again. Not when the king himself had witnessed everything.

Well to begin that was what 6/7 years ago at this point? lol. Also she never once said she was going to write Mor, Azriel and Elains story seperate from each other. She mentioned wanting to tell their journeys when she was drunk one night & shippers of course latched onto that. Her never mentioning Lucien is not a point in favor of Elucien by the way lol.

It’s amazing you guys will constantly bring up 5-10+ years old interviews that you think are a “gotcha” like her saying elain and Lucien would go on a healing journey over 10 years ago but when in her most recent interview she said Lucien is partly responsible for Elains trauma and that nature can make a mistake w mating bond and only mentioned feysand and nessians bond being true soul mate bonds you guys are like NAH!!!! Means nothing!!!

sounds perfect for a rejected mate storyline if you ask me... we will see!!!
