Photographer Uses UV Light to Capture Shimmering Shots of Fluorescent Flowers
What dark secret a small town is concealing, by region:
Northeast - ancient cult from old country
Midwest - a monster betwixt the corn
South - that reclusive family no one dares speak of
Southwest - experiment gone wrong
Northwest - eerie unsolved murder
Alaska - something buried under centuries of ice, rising when the days draw short
Hawaii - a curse in the lava the mainlanders are too arrogant to fear
Florida - no one in Florida keeps their fucked up shit a secret
This is a hilarious mistranslation actually. I suspect it originally said something along the lines of "Impregnerad mot vatten", i.e. "Water proof".
Impregnering is the process of making a material resistant to water/heat. The swedish word for water (vatten) is similar to the word for goblin (vätten) so I guess there was a mixup.

Edinburgh’s mysterious miniature coffins. Found in 1836 in a secluded spot on the north-east side of Arthur’s Seat, these 17 wooden figurines (of which 8 survive) are still a puzzle. My favorite explanation has to be that the figurines are linked to mass murderers, Burke and Hare, and that someone staged a kind of mimic burial to honor the duo’s 17 victims. Who knows.
Unusually tall thin home in Viet Nam built for an owner who’s passionate about gardening and wanted an airy and relaxing space after a tiring work day, with abundant green areas for her hobby.
Drawing from the owner’s love of gardening, screens with a leaf motif were added throughout the design of the house, with the first hint of it being the arched doors that greet visitors as they arrive.
The home is different, and so pretty. I like the rusty look that the metal has.
Stepping through to the interior, there’s a partial screen that acts as a divider between the living room and the dining area/kitchen.
On another floor, a small home office has been set up off the hallway, with the wall of the bedroom acting as a decorative accent wall.
In the bathrooms, the screen has been used as a backdrop for the vanity and as a way to highlight the doorway.
A light well that follows the stairs to the top of the house is a central accent that casts shadows throughout the home.
At the top of the house, there’s an outdoor space with an arched arbor, with plants that complement the leaf motif.

a child with an undiagnosed mental illness: I think I need help. I struggle with things nobody else seems to be struggling with.
a parent who never got diagnosed for the exact same mental illness: Oh sweetie. EVERYONE struggles with that :)
Parents who definitely have the same mental illness but it was never diagnosed: oh everybody does get over it

For a second I didn’t realize it meant “high” as in a stoner--I thought “High Geologist” was like a rank of geologist or something and he was insulted you would challenge him to naming stones
great poast every one👍
I have drawn him.... The High Geologist
Can’t believe he’s ace
He is now And here’s the photo evidence:
hey guys...https://twitter.com/MatthewLillard/status/1322648148364324864 so does this make it canon?
the high geologist has ascended
it’s always “this doll is haunted and is ominously shattering the china” and never “how can I provide adequate enrichment for my haunted doll so she doesn’t destroy stuff out of boredom”
responsible haunted doll ownership means aknowledging your doll’s need for interaction and play time! make sure to give her plenty of stuff to look at with her rolling eyes and shatter-proof things to knock over.
remember that knocking picture frames off walls, inverting crosses, and leaving long and disturbing claw marks in your wallpaper is natural haunted doll behaviour and should be managed in a way which is healthy for both you and your doll!
Your Doll’s Not Evil, She’s Just Bored
I've found that giving her noisy non-breakable things to knock over also helps. And if you prefer that she doesn't make noise while you're busy or sleeping, she'll understand and save that stuff for when you're out of the house.

This is really nice work…….. via Art LOVER
THAT’S how you make lace??
And THIS is why lace was a worn primarily by royalty and aristocracy for so many centuries.. It was expensive and time-consuming to produce. Wearing it, and wearing LOTS of it was a blatant show of wealth and excessive consumption.
Mechanically-produced lace wasn’t really a thing until well into the 20th century, but there remains a wide gap between the quality of mass-produced and hand crafted
In general textile arts are highly underated considering the amount of skill and time needed to execute pretty much anything.
I am always amazed by the people that do this and somehow keep all those threads from tangling!
I will honestly never forgive y’all for going crazy over kylo ren. like u literally had poe and finn and u chose kylo. that’s like saying u would fuck jar jar binks over anakin or obi. rip to ur taste in men but I am different
