A 2016 animation move released by Universal Pictures, a film about a hustling theater impresario’s effort to salvage a theater with a singing competition in a city of anthropomorphic animals becomes greater than Moon aka the koala anticipated, even as the finalists discover that their lives will never be the same. Some people might just see the movie as another bunch of animals singing, however, for me, its more than that. This movie taught me to overcome fear of failure. In life, we always let the fear of failure stop us from doing things that we love. Yes, life can be scary but you will never at lose to strive something that you love doing although you are not sure how things might turn out. Sometimes, you just need to be brave and overcome it because you will never be completely happy unless you conquer your fears and do what you love.

This movie also taught us to believe in ourself. For instance, in the movie, Rosita has difficulty on believing on yourself that she can dance and to the extent that she feels like everything is useful and how she should just focus on being a mother. However, during her downfall and doing a late-night shopping, her body somewhat react to the music that was played in the shopping mall. Little that she knows, she actually do have the skills and all she need to do is believe in herself. From my perspective, actually everyone is capable on doing anything that they want and all they need is to believe in their self and put on effort on things that they want to do and I also believe with the power of mind. If youre mind said you can do it, trust me that you can do it.

With that, it also connected with the next lesson which is always get back up when life knocks you down. Sometimes things don’t go as we planned in life but we have to tough it out and keep moving forward. Life are meant to be not perfect, there will be ups and down in life and there will be time that we feel our life appears to be falling apart, however, never give up, keep on trying until you achieve your objectives. As mentioned above, believe in yourself even you at your worst.

When I watched the first movie, I was amazed and I put it on my favourite movie checklist and until now, I still love the movie and the second movie was out, I was soo excited and have high expectations and yes, it wins my heart again. In fact, I was crying when I watched the movie as it somewhat connects with what I was experiencing at that moment. A 2018 movie by Walt Disney, a story about Ralph and Venellope friendships, a continuation from the first movie which is Wreak It Ralph in 2012. The first life lesson that I want to touch first and the one that caught my attention is that our insecurities can harm our relationship with other people. As shown in the movie where Ralph is worried about his friendship with Vanellope as Ralph really value Vanellope as he finally feels appreciated and bonded with someone after spent most of his life of being ignored and alone. As soon as Ralph knows that Vanellope want to move somewhere far from him, his insecurities build up and effect his relation with Vanellope.

In life, it is undeniable that everyone has their own insecurities and sometimes it really make an impact in our life especially when someone brings it up with your concern. Me myself also have variety of insecurities and growing up, it is not easy as I was being bullied for being skinny, etc. Its hard but at the end of the day, in order for us to move forward, we have to fight it right? Insecurities can be anything and it can also affect your trust issue especially when you in a serious relationship with someone that you love and when it comes to this kind of situation, it is better to fix our insecurities as it can destroy your relationship with your partner. And this can connect to our second point where distance doesn’t weaken relationship. People always facing this type of problem where distance is affecting their relationship but actually, if they work out their insecurities, distance is never a problem. Lets take Ralph as an example, after learning about his insecurities, although he love spending their routine together and wanted it to be that way all the time, Ralph learns that they can communicate through internet and knowing that even though Vanellope is far from him, she is still his best friend. Relationship are weakened not by the distance between people but by lack of commitment to communicating on a regular basis.

Nevertheless, everything in our life can be worked out by studying and get to know ourself and instead of hiding the insecurities, embrace it and change it as your strength instead of weaknesses. Never let the negative thought control your life and always have trust in life. Without trust, you will stuck in the same situation and it just make your life miserable. So, have a little faith on it and you will be okey.

I still remembered that when I first watched this movie, I fell in love with Jack Frost and everyone around me also went crazy about him and how they wish that Jack Frost is real. A 2012 movie by DreamWorks Animation, a story about a boy that awakens with amnesia and were chosen to be the new Guardian, unfortunately, no one can see or hear him because no one believe in him. Throughout the movie, Jack Frost discovered what he passionate about which is also the first lesson of the movie.

Based on the movie, Jack Frost became the most effective member and also defeat the Boogeyman after he discovered more about who he was and understand why he was selected as the member of The Guardians. Sometimes, in order for us to move forward in our life, we need to stop for a moment and give us time to discover what is actually our purpose? What are we passionate about and why are we doing thing that we doing at that moment and it is okey if it took time to discover yourself because when you do, you will be on your way to being more effective in handling things.

Another lesson that can be seen in this movie is overcoming your fears. The storyline of this movie showed how fear can defeat a person when we let our fears conquer our life. For myself, I am still struggling with my own fear or should I say I have anxiety where I always have a very bad gastric and backpain and whenever I have either one of them, it somewhat triggers the other and make me feel like I want to faint which honestly, I am soo sick of it. With all the short of breath, it is hard to control myself but I really hope that I am able to control and trying my best not to let my fear take over my body.

What I also love about this movie is how they showed every team member’s strength in their own unique way combined with a remarkable teamwork. Every human being in this world has their own weakness as well strength and sometimes our strength can also be our weakness or vice versa. Nevertheless, there is always a good reason behind every of our strength and weakness and by just giving it a little bit of support, we will able to excel it like how The Guardian using unifying by contributing their strongest talents to serve the team’s mission.

Last but not least, believe in yourself. Believe is always the strongest weapon at all time, no hesitation. It doesn’t matter of what people might think or their opinion about you, as long as you believe that you can do it, trust me, you can do it. I experienced it myself during my secondary year where my own teacher said that I can’t do it just because I failed the subject before the GCSE O’Level examination but I don’t let her control my mind and I just believe that I will get a good result and eventually, I passed it with flying colours and proved her wrong. Soo, always believe in yourself! If you say that you can do it, ignore what people say cause you know yourself better and you will achieve what you believe in.

MY FAVOURITE PANDAA! No argument needed that Kung Fu Panda is the best action, comedy animation of all time!! I always love watching movie that have martial arts in it cause it give me that one kind of vibe that I don’t even know how to explain but it just give me happiness. For this movie, not only it consists of martial arts but the most important thing is that it have PANDAAA!! I loveee panda because I find it cute and with Jack Black as the Panda, it just make it waaaay better!

So Kung Fu Panda, a 2008 movie by DreamWorks animation where a panda aka Po were chosen as the Dragon Warrior by the Grand Master Oogway. Obviously, no one is agreed with the decision as Po is just someone that accidently stumbled in the arena by fireworks explosion that does not have any martial art skill at all. For me, this movie is a successful movie and have a great message inside it where they underestimate Po, just because he is a Panda. Yes, it is undeniable that how a big fat panda can do all the martial art stuff as it requires all the speed etc but one thing that people always forget is that nothing is impossible. Everything is possible if you put effort on it like how Po putting his effort on learning the martial art but in his own way and eventually, Po became the Dragon Warrior as stated by Grand Master.

One thing that also attract me is the quote by Oogway: “You are too concerned with what was and what will be. There is a saying: yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.” When I first listened to the quote, I was like ‘ohh yaaa, current = present, why I never thought of it? Interestinggg’ Its true that we always too focus on what is already happened in our life and we worried too much about it which makes us forget that there is something way more important infront of us. There’s also a saying by another movie which I find it also connected to this situation: “Don’t let the past blackmail our present to ruin the beautiful future”.

Another one that was also can be seen in the movie is that stop worrying about what others think about you cause it only waste of time. It may benefit it you but it is very unlikely. Don’t let other people control your mind and don’t let others tell you what you capable of. Only you yourself know, hence, stand for yourself and prove to yourself (not other people) that you are capable of doing anything that you put your mind into. I always said that to myself and I always believe that whenever I put something in my mind that I can do it, trust me, I can really do it. Why? Because I believed that our mind is soo powerful and are the key for everything. It may not be easy but no matter how impossible it is, if you keep faith in yourself, you can do it.

Here’s my lovely cuteee pandaa, PO!

Watched this movie because of small purple alien which I found it cuteee. This movie does give me a mix feeling and I don’t know why, although the storyline of this movie is a bit slow, I love watching it and I almost cry everytime I watched this movie. A story about a girl named Tip, searching for her mother after being separated due to alien taking over the city. While Oh, the freethinking member of alien are being chased after accidentally sends a mass invitation including their enemy.

Lesson number 1 which I considered as the best quality that every person should have in life which is being kind to others without expect anything in return. Honestly, it is hard to do something without expect anything in return and sometimes, it can cause us to have this feeling of annoyed when people didn’t return the favor. However, one thing that people didn’t realize is that actually when you help someone without expecting anything in return, you will eventually get the return of that giving much later. It just usually we didn’t notice it because it the favor does not happen immediately or maybe the favor that we received is not the same as what we give to the people.

Lesson 2 is that face your problem like how Oh face the problem by facing the enemy. Usually, the alien or also known as Boov, always running away by moving to different city which they thought that by doing that, they actually solving the problem. Running away is never the solution to any problem that we face but it does consider as a short term solution. In life, you will never solve the problem if you keep on run or avoid from solving it because one day, no matter how long it has been, you are going to have to face it eventually. Hence, try to understand what is actually the problem by means watch it, learn about it and come with an idea on how to tackle the problem.

Lesson 3 is that never give up like how Tip never give up looking for her mother no matter what how many times she failed, she keeps on put her chin up and searching as she believes that she will find her mother after all the struggle that she encountered. Life can be hard and does not go as we planned but I know for sure that whatever we faced in this world, we actually can confront it by not giving up and keep pushing forward. Although we might have failed more than twice, it doesn’t mean that we don’t have the chance to success.

A 2009 animation movie produced by Sony Pictures Animation and only started watching this movie when the second movie is out in the cinema in 2013. During that day, I remembered that I still watched it by using DVD and to be honest, I do love this movie as it gives different perspective of a person that love science. Usually, a person that are into science always have a good reputation but not for Flint Lockwood. Flint Lockwood, an aspiring scientist lives with his father and his monkey, Steve in an island with an economy based on sardines. However, due to Flint’s device known as the ‘FLDSMDFR’ (Flint Lockwood Diatonic Super Mutating Food Replicator), Flint manages to create variety of food from the clouds.

Although the end of the story didn’t go as Flint plan, however, from my perspective, this movie teaches us the importance of not giving up. As mentioned above, Flint does not have that good reputation and even his father does not believe that his son is capable of doing the science stuff. Even until the very end of the movie, his father barely gives his support and everytime Flint do another of his science project, he always gave this disappointed face as all he wanted was to have a normal son that help him selling the sardine. Nevertheless, due to Flint’s passion towards sciences and never give up with his dream, Flint found success with his food machine and even the spray on shoes that didn’t work at first but it ended up saving the whole problem.

Another message that can be found is that be yourself. Samantha Sparks aka the reporter pretending to become a giggly girl, just because she wanted to become popular and avoid from being teased. However, it is very tiring to become someone else and personally, I did experience this situation during my secondary year. Just because I don’t want to left alone, I do something that is not me in order to fit myself with the ‘popular’ girl. It was fun as first but it didn’t end well as I was betrayed by my own, I called ‘bestfriend’ and from that, I realized that I was being stupid all this time. Luckily, I cut off the relationship and let my true self shine through and walking around with pride.

Additionally, in this movie, I also learn that being greedy does not ended up with good results. For instance, the mayor keeps on ordering food which destroys the food machine and somewhat creates disastrous food storms which put everyone in danger. Being greedy can eats up an individual and cause people to develop such as anger, jealously, become selfish and have unhealthy competition. Nevertheless, greed can also become positive if someone know how to control it, instead of seeing it as negative, try to use greed to motivates yourself to change your life to a better quality life.

A 2020 Pixar animation film, one of the top 10 films in 2020 and led the 93rd Academy Awards season with two wins, a story about a music teacher named Joe; attempts to reconnect his soul and his body that inadvertently separated before his big break as a jazz musician. Honestly, it’s not really my favourite movie as I find this movie a bit slow, however, I really love the life lessons that they put inside the movie. I also find it hard to understand the storyline of the movie but after a while, there are few messages that I can grab from the movie.

First, enjoy every single thing that we have even the simpler things in life. For this particular message, it kinda hit me a bit as a person especially during this Covid-19 situation where we all have to stay at home, quarantine ourself, unable to see our loves once and I do find it hard.; stuck with all the work and it is not easy to balance everything. However, this movie reminds me to appreciate and even enjoy the things that I have which is even though I’m unable to meet my partner but at least, with the availability of technology, I am able to do video call at any time I want. Not only that, with the amount of food that I have, rooftop over my head, etc, I realized that I have more than enough and I need to remind myself to always appreciate and focus on the positivity, instead of the negativity.

This movie also teaches us not to be hard to our own self. We’re all caught up in the whirlwind of life with our jobs, everyday pressures and we forget to live and give ourself time to rest. We too busy running or catching something that we never know whether it will benefit us or not but it for sure does affect our mental health. Way before pandemic happened, I never see mental health as a problem but now, unfortunately, it happened to me and it is not easy. I still tried to overcome it and try to save my energy and devote my time in doing activities that make me happy and to switch my mindset to be healthier than before.

In addition, one thing that we as a human being also need to remember is that try to accept any changes that happened in our life. There’s time that things doesn’t go as we plan or want but trust me, everything happened will always have a good reason behind it. Although it is hard to accept changes, with time, we can try to accept the change and maybe start to feel fulfilled. In conclusion, go easy. Don’t be harsh on yourself, everything will be fine and give yourself a big of applause for whatever you achieve today and give yourself a day off because you deserve it!

When Coco release in 2017, honestly, I don’t have any interest to watch the movie, however, I keep on seeing people posting about the movie in the social media and makes the audiences cry. From that moment, I have this curiosity to know what is the movie is all about. Thus, I downloaded the movie and start watching it with no expectations and like the other audiences, I cried and I really love the song. ‘Remember Me’ is one of the songs that hits me especially when Miguel sings it to her grandmother. In fact, the song won the Best Original Song during the National Board of Review as the Best Animated Film of 2017.

Coco message have more or less the same like Luca’s movie where their family are against what they want to do in their life. Miguel has always been into music, unfortunately, his family forbids it because of the history of the family where his great-great grandmother was left by her husband that pursuing music as his career and never returned. However, Miguel still wanted to become musician and due to his stubbornness, he was cursed and entered the Land of the Dead.

With the fantastic storyline, there are few messages that can be taken from the movie. First, always seize your moment. Always take the opportunities whenever and wherever they arise or in another word, live life to its fullest potential. We always busy chasing things which sometimes makes us stress, depress and forget to appreciate the opportunity that was given to us. Not everyone has the opportunity to live their life like they wanted and for us that have that opportunity, we intend to forget or didn’t notice until we lose them. Not only that, there’s also time that whenever there’s an opportunity right in front of us, we intend to think too much, afraid what might happen if you grab the opportunity but one thing that for sure that will happen is you might not experience the same chance again in the future. So why not just grab that opportunity, go with the flow and see where the moment takes you.

In addition, this movie also delivered a message of do not judge people without knowing the full story of what actually happened to them. Miguel’s family always thought that their great-great grandfather left his wife but what they didn’t know is that Hector actually was killed by his partner right after he decided to went back home to his family. Nevertheless, it also teaches how it is never too late to forgive people. It is normal for us, human being facing difficulty to forgive people that have hurt us especially our love once but sometimes forgive is the best way to move on and a way to start a new journey with ease. It also creates peace within yourself by relinquishing bad sentiments from a grudge or dwelling on someone’s mistakes.

A 2021 animated movie, released during the middle of the year and I already watched it almost 10 times and it all because my nephew and niece loveee this movie. But thanks to them, everytime I watched the movie, I keep on realizing a life lesson that was included inside the movie. Luca, a story about a sea monster that have curiosity on how the human world looks but unfortunately, his parents forbid him to even go out of sea as they afraid that humans might hurt him. However, Luca unable to control his curiosity and went out of sea with his new friend, Alberto, who is also a sea monster but Alberto has been living as a human being for a long time.

During the first time I watched this movie, the lesson that I captured is how the parents should listen and understand their children’s perspective, needs and wants. It is the common thing that always happened in our life where our parents make the decisions for us as they thought that their decisions is always right. From my perspective, it is unhealthy because we don’t have the opportunity to make mistakes and learn from the mistake itself in order for us to become a successful individual in the future. Not only that, sometimes the decision that were made is not we actually wanted to do. Nowdays commit suicide are getting out of control especially teenager or young adult and why is that? Well, from my perspective is that one of it is because they feel burdened with all things that they are forced to do, for instance, pursuing engineering. Typical parents always have a mindset that if you pursue engineering, you will guarantee to have a job in the future but one thing that they forgot is that not everyone have same interest.

Thus, at the near end of the film, Luca’s parents allowing Luca to go to school with the other human and although they are scared to let Luca go but they put their trust on Luca and let him make his own decision but with the guide of his parents. For me, that’s the healthy way of living. Let your children make their decision as long as it’s not against the religion and as a parent, all they need from you is your support; let them make mistakes because it help them to become a better person and learn how to make decisions especially during difficult times.

Another lesson that I can captured is that cutting off your negative thoughts. In the movie, Alberto repeated a phrase ‘Silenzio Bruno!’ where it helps him to eliminate the negative inner voice. We all have this inner voice which most of it negative; telling us that we cannot do it or any other toxic thoughts and there’s time we let it control us. However, this movie show that we have the ability to shut it down by not letting the inner voice control you and talk to it by saying for example ‘shut up’ or ‘quit it’ or maybe you can even use the Alberto phrase ‘Silenzio Bruno!’. Nevertheless, do not expect it to work immediately, it takes time and practice but trust me, it’s worth it.

Who doesn’t watch Inside Out movie produced by Pixar right? I guess most of people around the world watch it, yes no? Cause if you haven’t, GO WATCH IT NOW!! I will guarantee you that you will never regret watching the film and trust me, once you watch it, it will become one of your favourite movies of all time!! So Inside out is a 2015 movie about a little girl known as Riley, who is guided by her emotions like all of us. The emotions consist of Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. Basically, this movie showing us how our emotions controlling us from the center of our mind and unfortunately, it doesn’t do well for Riley.

From my perspective, this particular movie gives a great impactful to an individual to view life in a good different way. What I mean by that is we always thought it is a must to be happy all the time but in this movie, it taught us that sometimes it is okey to be sad or have a mix emotions and had a downfall in our life. Sometimes, it is good to have a mix of emotions as it helps us to grow and view certain things in different perspective and widen our knowledge. For instance, at the near end of the movie, Riley has a mix feeling of sadness, anger and causing her to make decisions to run away from her home but at the end of the day, Riley choice makes her reunited with her family again and allowing her to express her feelings.  

We all have been through tough time. As a happy go lucky girl myself, there are times that I feel pressured as people always expect me to be happy until one day, I reached my limit where I make people happy by doing things they like but deep inside my heart, I feel empty. I feel nothing. After a while, I learned that I am not responsible for everyone’s happiness. I’m only human and I have my rights to feel other emotions beside joy.

Another part that I also realized that sadness is vital to all of us. Why is that? This is because sadness makes us understand our own self or someone deeper. For example, in Inside Out, Sadness helps Bing Bong (Riley Imaginary Friend) recovered from feeling dejected after the loss of his wagon. Sadness also makes or motivate us to improve ourself and push ourself forward to become a better individual. This also applied to Fear, Anger as well as Disgust. Every single of them plays an important part in our life and it help to shape us into the person we are today.

Riley Imaginary Friend, BING BONG!! (including Bing Bong because he’s the best)

Here we go! The latest action + comedy animation movie I’ve watched and it became one of my favourite movies of all time. Not only I love the storyline of the movie but when I watched the movie, it gave me this one feeling of irritant especially the dragon (Sisu) as she cannot stand still. For instance, when they arrived at Talon, Raya told her to stay on the boat, for the sake of her safety but instead, she went shopping!! And theeen, when they arrived at Spine, again, she just run away like that and I was like girrrrl, can you please just stay at the boat?! I know Sisu’s attention is good but still, it’s kind piss me off when she just go without thinking further what might happened if she act like that.

However, in this movie, Sisu did deliver a marvelous message which is trust. In the beginning of this movie, Raya trusted Namaari (Fang’s people) with an expectation that their people can come together again and build a better world. Unfortunately, Namaari betrayed Raya and ever since that accident, Raya had difficulty on trusting anyone. Nevertheless, Sisu mentioned that although not everyone has good intention but it is okey to have a little trust even though they might break your trust and con you.

I do understand Raya’s feeling as I have been in her situation before. It is not easy to trust people back when they betrayed you especially when it comes to someone you love or close to. The worse thing about me is that I keep on giving them my trust over and over again even though they keep on betraying me and why is that? Because I believed and deep in my heart I wanted them to become the person that I knew before they change. Unfortunately, they keep on breaking their promises and from there, I had a hard time on believing people because I don’t want people to took advantages on me again.

Years goes by and finally I have courage to put my trust on someone again and after watching the movie, I agree with Sisu, it is okey to at least give someone a little trust and it is okey to take the first step. We may get hurt but Sisu reminded me that just because a person did something terrible, doesn’t mean everyone are the same and it does not kill you to have a little faith and trust in people. We can also take the example how Sisu’s siblings put their trust on her to by combining their magic; creating the dragon gem and with trust, Sisu able to save Kumandra.

Hence, I know it is hard to trust someone especially the one that stab you at the back but it is never too late to give other people a little trust and with hope that everything goes as what we plan or imagine. Nevertheless, as an individual, do not take people trust for granted.

I always been a big fan when it comes to animation movies. Not because I love cartoons but I always looking forward for the life lessons included in every animation movie. There will always be something to learn and whenever I finished the movie, I will always try to apply the lesson into my life (most of it). Although, I intend to forget to apply it consistently but at least I try right?

So, the first movie that I pick is ZOOTOPIA! Zootopia, a 2016 animation movie produced by Walt Disney Animation Studio, directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore. A story about a bunny that wanted to fulfill her dream but unfortunately, everything does not goes as planned but Judy strives her way out and proves that you can achieve anything in life by never give up on your dream and keep on trying.

Life is not as easy as we think. Life is hard. There will always be ups and down no matter where we go in life. Life for sure will get messy as we all have our own limitations and we all make mistakes and it is okey to make mistakes. That’s what we as human have in common but never ever give up on achieving our goals especially on things that we love.

Another lesson that we can also take is don’t judge a book by its cover + ignore what people say about you. Don’t let anyone tell you what you can do and what you can’t do. From the movie itself, although Judy Hopps was small but regardless of her size, she managed to save Zootopia. Thus, stop letting other people’s opinion guide your life. I used to let other people’s opinion to control my life by only reading some tweets or any social media platform and it is not fun. I intend to live to satisfy other people, letting people tell me that I need to do this or that to be successful and put my own self at the back. Thankfully, I am now putting myself first, still trying my best to ignore all the negativity around me and here I am, living my life as a final year student where they thought that I will never make it to university.

There is a lot of lesson can be taken from the movie actually but I only choose two as mentioned above as I feel that what affect me the most as a person. Soo believes in yourself! Never ever let anyone take control of your life cause at the end of the day, it all start with you! You the one who decide whether to let it happen or not.
