I have reasoning here! I think that stands to reason that he's probably super graceful, right, because of the whole flying wind ice magic thing, so like, why shouldn't he be good at dancing? he's also the guardian of FUN, and dancing (imo) is soooo fun (god i need to dance more lol).

here's why it matters: let's be honest, my boy Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III is NOT a good dancer. He was clumsy before the metal leg; can you imagine how much worse it got after he literally lost one of his legs? two left feet, more like NO left feet.

so now imagine this: this hot boy with (rapidly darkening) white hair and gorgeous blue (brown? you can't tell) eyes CRASH-LANDS (because he was FLYING, he can FLY UNSUPPORTED) on your doorstep looking for your medicine woman, who he tells you is a goddess (he says spirit, but, hell no, you hear goddess). the little boy is sick, he says, he needs help, so you take him to your medicine woman, who IS a spirit, it turns out, and she heals him. this hot boy's visit happens to coincide with some sort of celebration (tbd on what that is). the little boy is on the mend, hot boy is so joyful it's kind of ridiculous, and at this celebration, everyone gets up to dance. you are sitting there like "oh thor, not this again" but you are also joyful, so you decide to get up and fumble your way through a few dances, when you look over and see your the hot boy just tearing it up. just absolutely having the time of his life, arm in arm with total strangers, smile so wide it looks like it's going to break his beautiful face in half. and you're like "shit. i'm down bad," and you want to take a second to deal with that earth-shattering revelation, but the dance just switched from a big circle to one of those "swing your partner round and round" situations, and oh thor, hot boy just grabbed you, and oh thor, "no i can't dance" "i'll show you," and oh thor, you're dancing, and OH THOR, the way he smiles. he smiles and smiles and smiles and of course, you can't stop smiling yourself, as you weave through the crowd, separating occasionally but always finding each other again. eventually, you get tired, your leg starts to hurt; "I have to go sit down," you say to the hot boy, panting and out of breath, but the hot boy, who's breathless himself, stays dancing the entire night. he is an object in motion, he is spinning through space like a shooting star, he is so, so bright and so, so beautiful. you get up and dance with him again, and you wake up the next morning with a headache, your one foot hurts and the remnant of your other leg hurts more, and your heart feels like it might just burst out of your chest when you look over and see that boy sprawled on the ground next to you, your fingertips just brushing his.
