Shoes by Van Gogh always takes my breath away

I don’t love you as if you were the salt-rose, topaz or arrow of carnations that propagate fire: I love you as certain dark things are loved, secretly, between the shadow and the soul. I love you as the plant that doesn’t bloom and carries hidden within itself the light of those flowers,  and thanks to your love, darkly in my body lives the dense fragrance that rises from the earth.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where,  I love you simply, without problems or pride:  I love you in this way because I don’t know any other way of loving

Fan art of Connor Storrie (left) and Hudson Williams (right) playing Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander in the Canadian TV series Heated Rivalry. After watching the entire series four times in the span of a month, I decided it was time to finally get it out of my system by drawing a fan art of the most beautiful and touching relationship we have seen in fiction in a really long time. The books were a good read, but Jacob Tierney really elevated the story of these two, and the lead actors really brought the characters to life. Hudson Williams made me realize I am autistic. At 30. My whole life suddenly makes sense. Official diagnosis still pending, but now that I know, it's so obvious I am kind of angry at myself for not figuring it out sooner. Also, can we talk about that soundtrack? Anyway, now that season one of Heated Rivalry is officially behind me, I will finally be able to focus on my other projects. I loved the contrast between the cold tones of Ilya's bedroom and the heat visibly radiating from their skin in this scene. By the way, Williams' skin tone is a pain in the butt, no pun intended.
