"A relationship is about inventing your own language. You've got the jokes, you've got the songs, you have this anecdote that's going to make you laugh three years later. It's this language that you build. That's what you mourn for when you're losing someone you love. This language you're not going to speak with anybody else."
Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) | dir. by Céline Sciamma

Related to the "young accounts bad" thing, I think that even now in 2026, a lot of AO3 users don't realize that archive-locking is possible. Or if they do realize, they think it's a few scattered works that are no great loss.
People of Taste (i.e. dedicated perverts) know that all of the best stuff is archive-locked.
There are currently 15,351,589 unlocked works on AO3 and 2,295,223 locked ones.

i actually do think you should draw clocky trans people. no i don’t think they’re a stereotype or caricature. i think that’s a horrible thing to say about real people who exist. i think that’s a horrible thing to say about my friends and my family. i want to see your art of a trans boy with curves and long hair and baby face because that’s me. i want to see your art of a tall trans girl with broad shoulders and facial hair because that’s my friend. stop being scared to draw the people you know.
“I’m not going to draw a clocky trans woman because that’s how TERFs draw them” i don’t think my friends should be forced to only see themselves in artwork made my TERFs and transphobes. They should get to see themselves lovingly drawn by other trans people.
Solarpunk to me doesn't mean green and bright everywhere. Instead, it's working with the available environment and harmonizing with it. Living in deserts and learning practical methods of water-finding, homes in the bases of mountains. Protecting existing dark forests, cultivating ones where deforestation once took over the land. And cultural preservation. The architecture of different cultures being preserved, native wildlife sewn into the foundations. It wouldn't all be those images that pop up when you first type 'solarpunk'. It would be extremely varied, a celebration of both biome diversity and human cultural diversity.

What would you rather find living in your attic/basement/spare room?
1000 cockroaches
One man
If you don't have one of those, imagine that you do.

Things people hate hearing:
You are capable of harm
You have some level of power and agency
Ergo it is your responsibility to communicate your needs and boundaries
If you lie to someone about something being okay when it isn't, that is on you
Something being a trauma response doesn't exempt it from harming your relationships and the other people in them
Enabling your trauma responses will not make them go away, and it is your responsibility to work on yourself for your own wellbeing as well as the people around you
Being A Victim cannot be a pillar of your identity forever, and being victimized does not make you incapable of harming other people (see above)
You are not a mouse in a jean jacket you are an eel with a gun / adult human being who can use your words even if it's Scary
Having a personality disorder doesn't make you evil but you have got to get off of Personality Disorder Tumblr (see above, re: enabling)
Deep sigh. You want me to ~be compassionate~ here's the compassionate answer: your trauma will tell you you're a helpless child forever and you need to Not Think This Way for yourself (living under the assumption you're still in danger whether you actually are or not) and everyone else who has to tiptoe around your Sensitivity. That's how you break the cycle and you can only do this by accepting responsibility for your actions. And it seems like a small semantic thing but imo step one is calling yourself a survivor instead of a victim. Self identifying with your victimhood helps No One. You lived, now get up
treating your own characters badly is problematic? back in my day if we were mildly inconvenienced on the way to work we'd vivisect them for the stress relief
